    Lead wanted

    Does anyone know where there is a large amount of lead for sale? Something in the "tons" would be best.

    I know all of us are always on the hunt for lead but I'm wondering if someone knows where a large lot of lead is. Maybe so big that most of us could not consider it.

    I'd be watching the Govt surplus auctions. They occasionally have large quantities for sale if you are willing to come get it where ever it sits.

    I talked to a very large commercial caster in texas about this once and he said that the best source he'd found was the keel's from sailboats that were being junked. (FWIW)

    call a foundry there are a few spread around the country l.a, denver, kansas etc
    you will need to purchase a large quantity 4500 lbs or so but they will make it
    to your specs, no they don't deliver.......
