I had sent one too, a while back, asking what needed to happen. 'Even volunteered to organize it only if Fire_stick didn't want to ..... but never heard back.

Does anyone know the as cast diameter with wheel weight alloy?
I have a 4-cavity HP PB brass mold from Miha's last run. They drop at about .3595 with ww/soft 50/50 with about 1% tin added. I got the plain base version because I can affix gas checks made by Pat Marlin's gas check maker for plain base bullets, and then I can run those bullets at full velocity in my Rossi 92 or 686. In my opinion, this method makes the gc molds less desirable, for me at least. Of course, I can also run the pb bullets without gc's at reduced velocities, which I also do. The best of both worlds with the same bullets.
I like this bullet, and like many others have found, it is about ideal for a heavy broad-nosed thumper out of a levergun or revolver.
Yup, count me in for 4C GC with solid & HP pins.
Anything happening with this one? I'd love one of these in a 4 cavity with PB and HP pins. I went looking as I need one and this looks perfect.

lf you are looking for a 360-180 RF mold, I started a thread over on the NOE Forums for an inventory run on their design.

Yup, looking for a 4C with HP Pins. Picked up a solid from him but still looking for the Cramer style mold.
I could definitely use a 4 cavity

I'd be interested depending on timeline
I would like one, gc base with all pins and 1 set of handles and top punch. This looks like bad to the bone boolit for the 357 Herret.
Bumping in hopes this gets off the ground. I'd be in for a four cav PB w/ all the pins.

What is the difference between this and the 360640 in the same weight? looks like this one has a shorter nose/more bearing surface?
My firearms project blog
Do they make a 360640 in a 180 weight? This one has two lube grooves instead of one. I think this has a shorter nose with less taper as well. Not sure which 360640 you were asking about.
The original 360640 weighed 170gr as a flat point. They make a light version too, which I believe is currently in stock on Miha's web page.
Oh yeah, they did have one that was 176gr with two crimp grooves. So it would have a different nose, two crimp grooves and one lube groove. That would be the difference.
Did that help?

A bit, I have the 176 version I got 2nd hand that has 2 crimp grooves and I think it has a longer nose and less bearing surface. For some reason the two crimp grooves annoy me but I didn't have much of a choice as I was begging not choosing for a ~180gr mold at the time. I'll see if I can find a print of the ~176 36040 after work today and compare the two.

I like this boolit and it is very easy to cast, but I only have the 2 cav and I want more production. 'Glad to see the new buy getting started.

The 358 180 is a true heavy weight hp mold.
It casts at 176 gr as a large hp and 187 gr as a solid.
I believe the heavier 640 design was marked 359640.
I have that mold it cast at 170 gr solid and 159 gr as large hp.
It is a single lube groove two crimp groove for seating in the 357 magnums that need a shorter oal.
Here is a photo of the one I think you are referring to.
