    A simple reflection

Now, everyone knows I am a small volume caster, small volume reloader, and heck, with today's gas prices, small volume shooter, as well! So, I don't fire up the pot all that much, and 25 bars of WW alloy last me a very long time.
Yesterday I plugged the Lee in, dropped in 5 bars, and got to work. Maybe I had more rejects than a lot of people, maybe after 2 hours with a double cavity mould I only had 151 boolits, but I had something else - relaxed. I enjoyed every minute of it, never considered it time wasted.
This morning I put out the second half in the drying box with the Lee Liquid Alox on them, and put the first half, ready to go, in the approriate bin on the reloading table. Yeah, I could have gone to the store, and paid $30 for two boxes of bullets for the same amount, and not have lube sticking to my fingers, or the smell of flux floating around for hours...but they would have been just that, some bullets I bought in a store. These are MINE in a very real way.
Just a reflection, and another thank you to all on this site who assisted me in this journey - you guys are awesome.

    I understand the feeling.

Even when I was competing, the time spent behind the reloader was totally relaxing.

I was so absorbed by the process, nothing could bother me.

Wish I had the time to do it more often now, but a different line of work keeps me away from the things I love.

    But yes, very relaxing.
Knowledge I take to my grave is wasted.

I prefer to use cartridges born before I was.

Success doesn't make me happy, being happy is what allows me to be successful.

The more of yourself that you put into a pastime, the more you get out of it. Enjoy!

Yes, indeed. Time spend 'in the process' is low stress and to those of us
afflicted, very rewarding. Glad there are some fellow "sufferers" (NOT!)
    out there.

My biggest problem now is work travel taking too much of my loading and
    shooting time!

If it was easy, anybody could do it.

Relaxation is the reason one gets a hobby in the first place! This removes the stress of the day and the job!

Yes I agree: a time for reflection as well!

Well said Armoredman, well said indeed!
