in 2012 only 58% of eligible voters voted(less if we knew how many were fraudulent). O got a bit more than 51% of the popular vote to R's 47% . Many on our side were so disgusted they stayed home. I honestly believe the reason Obama won the last time is due in large part to what the republicans choose to challenge him! What in the dickens were they thinking? While I did get out and vote for Romney, well I went out and voted against Obama actually, my heart just wasn't in it and I know a LOT of other folks who asked the same question I was asking myself, with a choice like that why bother?

I got to thinking about this a little bit yesterday, and decided to do something I wasn't going to do.
I bought 6 jugs of powder I know are useful [I have tested loads for most of them already]
but they are not on my normal list of powders I like to keep on hand in bulk.

I guess 'close nuff is good nuff' is gonna become the new normal.

Many years ago I was a registered Democrat. The party left me behind an now I'm listed as Independent. I haven't missed voting in the last 25 years. Though many of my choices, have been lost in the dust, I still voted.
I am NOT responsible for the squatter in the WH.
The only reason I can say that is, I Voted. Those that didn't help are the ones that must accept the blame. If that is you, correct the problem. You may not get that many more chances.

I did the same, but know several good people that are through voting for the "best among the worst." If little Bush or Christie, heaven forbid, wind up with the Republican nomination, just hand the Whitehouse keys to the democraps and save all that money and time! On the other hand if Cruiz, Rand Paul or Ben Carson gets the nod it'll be a Republican blowout in my opinion. This country is tired of no leadership and being embarased on the world stage. I believe that the Republican party deliberately refuses to run a candidate that Republican voters would embrace because that candidate would challenge them too much.

The Republican party is faced with the option of losing control via getting a dumbocrat elected or losing control via getting a Republican with a backbone. I guess they'd rather have a dumbocrat so they can blame them, because they somehow always weed out any Republican candidate with half a brain.

Agreed but this only holds true if the Supreme Court keeps its current 5 to 4 split. The next President will likely get a couple of picks. If they are lib's all bets are off.
