One shell pooches,the next folds in.I have made a adjustments continuously,I cannot find a happy medium.

Try the foam egg carton 5/8" disc over slug cards. I do not know how Universal dumps into the bottom of the hull, so try tapping the case with powder charge in it on the bench a couple of gentle times to get it to level out. I always use a wood dowel after putting powder in the hull to make the powder uniformly level. This may help a bit for more consistent folds.

I think I found the issue...inconsistent pressure when seating the wad. I didn't make adjustments from a longer to shorter wad.I made some dummies,if they are still true tomorrow morning,then I'll load some and go to the range. Hearing the powder rattle made me realize the problem.

After the last range time I found that my stock was loose,so anything I had done..is no good and will have to start from scratch.

Today at the range...not all bad.

51 pieces federal gold medal from the garbage can..
Some recovered slugs..
And some recovered wads..the wads are from different loads,wads as you can tell,they all seem to look the same.To me anyway.

...for some reason it keeps telling me I have exceeded my quota.??? Same size pics as before.I have some good groups on this go 'round too.
