If you have a light payload don't skimp on Blue Dot. It likes a heavy payload or heavy powder charge.

I found that 36 grs. under a 1 oz. ball left unburned powder in the bore.

I'd look to a faster powder for light payloads rather than downloading Blue Dot.

More recently I tried using Unique under the Lee 7/8 oz. slug and got some bloopers which surprised me but I think the light payload and moderate charge of Unique was the issue. I went to a published load using Green Dot and got good results.

That's encouraging results. Thanks for the range report. I am gonna have to try 40g Blue Dot.
