While lithuim grease for PP bullet lube?

Anyone use or have experience using white lithium grease as a bullet lube for PP bullets? I have a whole container that I bought to relube my mosin's bolt after I disassembled and cleaned it, but I only used a tiny bit. Now it sits under my reloading bench and collects dust.

Not sure what that grease does with heat or if the particulates you would get in the air could be harmful.

Probably a bit messy but should work. As far as particualtes, forget about it. It will ease your epilepsy I suppose but we are talking about such a microscopic amount.

Ever tried melting white lithium grease? It can be done but it turns honey coloured due to the heat. The stuff I have does anyway, mine being Centoplex.

Actually, you've given me an idea. I think I'll give it a try.

I use red lithium grease when I make Bens Red . White lithium may work also. Give it a try and report back.

People use lithium grease to pack suppressors. So why not try.

    Yes, it can be done!

My boolit lube recipe consists primarily white lithium grease, candle wax (paraffin) and a few toilet rings (unused) in the place of bee's wax. I also use this lube to lube paper patches. It's somewhat sticky, and keeps the ends of the patch from unraveling, so I have no need for glue. No leading with straight lead boolits. Works fine on the patched boolits too.

    I hope this helps,
