Sadly most reloading dies are built for jacketed bullets, with the exception of most handgun reloading dies. Lee makes a 'universial expander die' to serve your purpose.

2 die/Set consist of a Resizing Die and a Bullet Seating Die. Terry are you reloading jacketed or lead bullets?

    Lead bullets for 32-40.
I'm a lead boolit shooter, so I need to flare the mouth, etc.
    Thanks Terry

But for the short term you can use a pair of needle nose pliars, a punch, or anything else that will evenly open the mouth of the case to accept a boolit. Even a 30-30 case may work.

i use a 30-06 case or a 6.5x55 case to expand the throats on all of my cast boolit loads; just shove it in by hand and twist it with enough pressure to swell the throat. if it shaves the boolit, i twist a little harder next round. yer hands are really very precise tools--you can get 'em micrometer close to the same time after time, if you pay attention. the neat thing is you can do it even after you put in the powder, in case ya fergot. t'ain't rocket science!
    mind yer topknots!
