    New FWB Sporter at SHOT.

I saw the new FWB Sporter at the SHOT Show last week and I must say it's a real nice looking gun. in fact it is far better looking than the original FWB124 from 30 years ago.

Unfortunately they are NOT giving this one away. Wholesale price at the show was $729.95! Retail is $900. It is a really nice gun and for the price you would expect it to be.

You wouldn't be disappointed,,, I didn't want to put it down. It has really nice lines and all of the metal work is superb. This one is actually worth the $900! Nicer than most of the firearms I own!

177cal only. Here's a link to the Pyramyd Air Site http://www.pyramydair.com/s/m/Feinwe...Air_Rifle/3403

So nobody's interested in buying a $Thousand Dollar Pellet Rifle? Actually the MSRP Is $1000! and Pyramyd is selling for $900.

    The gun really is nice.

Harry,,, In person the gun looks much better than a 124.

However at that price I think they will have a very limited acceptance.

I see a viable price point in the $729 range, comparable to the high end Weihrauch guns which have always been their direct competition.

Yea if they were that range they might do OK. They look clubby compared to the original 124/127's.The Walther LGV master I have is as accurate as any .177 springer I have owned. Its not as heavy or bulky as my old TX200 and for $550 is quite a bargain. Last night I shot 5 groups at 50 yards they were .800---.875---.875---.375---.200.The .375 is n the upper right black and cant be seen very well.

That .200 group was the smallest I've shot at 50 yards with a pellet gun(or 22LR I bet). Lucky in know!

FWB makes really good air rifles. I have an old 300s and I will never get rid of it. It works really fine for prepping for a match for the off hand stuff. It was not cheap then either.

The 300's are classics. The new FWB Sporter just isn't worth the price or any more accurate than other high end German and English guns that re 300-500 less.
If they had it in the $650 range it might do OK? The Walther LGV I mentioned above is the one it wont be able to compete with at that price.

Well apparently there are at least two people who liked this gun as Pyramyd had 5 originally and now only has 3 left.

I really would have liked a real Walnut stock for that kind of money. The gun does look good in person so we'll see how fast the other three sell.

I thought the same about a cheap Birch stock on an $800 gun.
