Let's play Guess the Gun - by looking at the magazine

    - I am on the FAL files and someone has some 9mm magazines but I'm not sure what they are...
what is know is they hold 40 rounds - double stack - double feed like an UZI and have been modified to have two different catches to hold it into a firearm. The Original catch punch out the backside and a slot cut into the left side.

    Any Idea's
Not an MP5 or PPS-43, madsen, owens, F1, suomi, Beretta 12 or Beretta 38

My faulty old memory thinks they were modified for use in AR15 9mm conversion.

    What's your best guess

The shape looks more suited to a 7.62X25, is there room for that cartridge?

Lots of search hits on using them in Colt 9mm conversions, with a bunch thinking they are Madsen magazines.

He's saying it's not - but I tend to agree with you.

The Chinese developed a shortened version of the Tokarev cartridge for use in silenced SMGs.

I think you're right, Mike - Sterling mags. Definitely NOT Sten mags.

The Stering mags use roller followers, the pictured mags have the conventional followers.

Though its possible that these could be an after market cheaper to manufacture version made by a third world end user.
