Does the group but have to reach 40 before it goes into production? Sorry if this is a stupid question but this is my first group buy. I am also debating my choice of the non lube groove mould. I will be powder coating but I have never tried a plain mould like this.

The group buy runs till MiHec, the mold maker, decides to do the production run. It is entirely at his whim and could be tomorrow as easily as next year for all we know. The only certainty is that the product is worth both the price and the wait.

As to your second question, if there is ever a chance you'll use a conventional lube then get the version with the lube groove. You can always powder coat a lube groove boolit but not the other way around. I do have a theory that all else equal, there is a small performance advantage to a no-groove boolit.

As an owner of a more than a few of MiHec molds the wait is worth the time involved.

Oreo, please remove me from this group buy. I think the 220 gr. will be to heavy and slow for my needs.

Why not change to the 190 gr?

The wait is well worth it. Get something cheap on the side if you just want to shoot and flip it when you get the mihec.

I won't shoot anything that is not coated so I will stay with the no grooves and was just curious about the time frame. My next couple months will be crazy with a move so was just curious.
