Made some inserts for a relvolver frame for the wrench to remove the barrel and it worked well.
Sculpy is a modeling clay that hardens when baked available at Hobby Lobby.

That, Sir, is good information, for which, thank you very much.
I found this site, http://www.sculpey.com Is that it? Can you be more specific about which particular product you found useful? It sounds like it may also have possibilities as a machinist's fixture material.
Another interesting material I have been messing with is Shapelock. Twice for inserts to remove barrels. A moldable, machine-able, reusable, thermoplastic. http://shapelock.com/index.html
More good stuff, thanks Sako.
Shapelock looks like some pellets I've been messing with called "Friendly Plastic" which seems to do the same thing. Shapelock advertises 500g (about 17.5oz) for $25. Click on the Buy Now link and it's $35 + $10 shipping for a total of $45 minimum. You can get a 28oz can of Friendly Plastic on eBay for $38.
