Ruger #1 in 45-70 good price?

I know condition of the gun and area of the country will have some to do with price but I am going to be looking for a Ruger #1 in 45-70 come the 1st of the coming year and I was wondering what would be a good price for it?

To make it easier for me to understand the responses could you frame responses roughly like:

'Anything less than "X" would be a good price for it in "Y" configuration and "Z" condition'

Elaboration would be cool too but the above format will help me best understand your responses.

    Thanks!

Most of the ones you see for sale online will be in 90% plus condition. At least that has been my experience. I have not seen any for under $800. #1's hold their value well.

So $800 or less is what I should be looking for calling a good deal as long as it is in decent condition?

I would think that was in the ballpark.

If they are very good to excellent they pretty much go for close to new price if they are in a non current and popular chambering here.
