Gag gift tradition sounds like fun, buying stuff for kids is generally fun too. I shudder at the debt some folks are incurring as I type this, I generally buy gift cards for the adults @ their favorite stores and concentrate my meager gift-buying talents on the youngsters. I don't want a thing at Christmas time except socks and underwear. I've got everything else covered and then some.

Yes, a bit more thought and work than money is a good receipe for a present. I download photographs to be printed on mugs. Here is one of a friend, after I reduced the number of his gin bottles. [ATTACH=CONFIG]124348

One year I gave a friend an 1873 Springfield Trapdoor, along with an advertisement that told how many parts were in an 1873! Just to make the gift memorable, I took every thing apart so that he could count the pieces and see if the add was correct!

He got even the next year by giving me a large box of canned goods, with all of the labels removed. He claimed there was only one can of cat food in the box......but I never found it!!

My buddy did get the Springfield back together and did some shooting with it, I'll have to ask if he still has it!

One of the Customer Service Reps at work wanted to quit but wouldn't collect unemployment. So he decided to get fired instead. He got a credit card from accounting to buy materials for a job, then proceeded to buy $4,000 worth of sex toys which were discretely packaged and shipped to different women at work.

there were a few new rules around the office about purchasing after that.

A trifling inconvenience to accept, in order to be given a trapdoor Springfield. There is nothing wrong with finding yourself purring when stroked. Think of it as a preference.
