    Guess I've been asleep

Just received a new Lee .54 300gr REAL mold this week. When I went to use it one of the sprue holes was galling the top face of the mold (not a big surprise). I figured I would just remove the sprue plate and polish it up a bit (normal procedure ,I know). I could NOT get the sprue plate screw out! I tried heating the mold up, tapping the screwdriver with a mallet while turning, and was about to cut a straight slot so I could use my BIG screwdriver. As a last thought I turned the screw rightward to seat it a hair and it broke it loose and came out. Turns out to be a LEFTHAND thread on this one. Since when ?
I think I will go finish my nap now.
    Good shooting, Bruce H

So, instead of loosening on opening, it loosens on closing?

    Hmmmm.

Yep it still loosens and still needs a set screw. Now "I" know what the L is stamped on there for.
