MIHec 6 cavity BRASS mold for serius casting in 9 mm..

So is there some interest for BRASS 6 cavity NO LUBE GROVE mold for 9 mm?

I usually cast with 6 cavity aluminium mold in par...like to cast more in one casting seson .6 cav will produce volume but eventually this mold get to hot.

i have 4 cav brass and i notice that time needed to reach temp that give me a frosty bullets is almost double longer then with aluminium mold.

So ,logic say to me,for real serious casting sesions a 6 cav brass is a perfect tool..

Already spoken with Miha and yes,it can be made ,only in 9 mm cal and his already have cutters for 125 grain FB,135 grain BB and 147 (145) grain FP..

This gonna be cut in same block that it is used for his 4 cav HPs mold so it is NOT gonna be heavier that a usual 4 cav BRASS mold..Acctualy it is gonna be Little less because its gonna be 6 cav...

    So ,what you guys think?

So this would be a Brass 6 cavity with no lube groove and no HP ?
I would be in for 135 Gr. BB 6 Cav 9mm
    Do, or do not.
    There is no try.

    Do, or do not.

Hm, I´m in here to look how that goes.

Sounds interesting, but brass IS heavy.

I can cast 1,5 hours with one 4cav. brass mold, then I have to rest.
But well, speed up the thingy is interesting to me too.

Seems to me it would be much cheaper to get a little fan and run the moulds through it to cool the moulds when needed. I can do 800 bullets an hour with a single LEE and 1200 when I feel the need to run 2 at a time, using a fan. I like Miha's brass moulds but only for HP bullets, they are just too heavy otherwise when doing any kind of volume, like 3000 at a time.

    Groo here
Please make the mold in the 147gr xtp format to allow the use in 9mm,38super and 357sig...
A hollowpoint and flatnose pin combo would be nice.

    ?

I have 5 brass two cavity moulds and after an hour of casting I can't do it any longer.
A 6 cavity will be quite heavy and I wonder, can you cast for an hour with such a heavy mould?
I'm not a wimp, it's just that old age and arthritis has taken it's toll on me.
10-15 years down the road how many here will still be able to cast with a big heavy mould?

I would be interested in a MP 6 cav mold, no lube groves and TC style profile a-la-Lee 90402 mold. Should turn out around 125/128gn casts.
For those who cast with brass, Like I do with the other MP molds, you only need to hold it long enough to fill it, then I place it on a slab of steel to act as a heat-soak and take the weight.

opps forgot to add in 9mm!!

    Balta,
Can you provide drawings for the 3 bullets listed above.
Then everyone can see what is available.

    Thanks!

Pretty weak turn out for that one. If it has a lube groove or two I would be interested. Especially a 147 FP

Yup, a 6 cavity brass mold is going to be heavier than i'd want to use for extended sessions.

He did say it would it would be lighter than a 4 cab Hp block. I'm all in for this. In fact I wish I had it today.

I'm not interested in the no-groove variety. But if it could be Miha's 359-125 bullet in six-cav instead of the usual four-cav, I would definitely be in! Thanks. LBS
I'm not sure where all the money is that I've "saved" by casting and reloading!

Is there a 125gn 6 cav no lube solid brass one of these available anywhere?
    preferably with a flat base?
