Filing a dovetail for a new front sight on my Arizona BIL's Ballester Molina. The staked combat sight is somewhere in the desert. I staked it in 20 odd years ago but apparently not good enough.....
    This one will stay put.

Powder coated all my 36-180LGs - turns out it was 553 of 'em. Started gas checking them but needed to fire up the grill for dinner...

Went through a hundred .44 mag cases pulling the .40's that were stuck inside then the 9's stuck in them. managed to only damage 7 .40 cases in the process.

De-primed and tumbled another short batch of .303 British tonight. At least this time around, they were all boxer primers.

    What's reloading?

Oh....right.....that ancient process were one had brass, powder, PRIMERS, and projectiles and put them all together to make cartridges for guns & rifles.

By the time all that "stuff" comes available again, many will be either deceased or will have forgotten how to do it!

Loaded a bit of 308, using Accurate MRP (4831 eq. stuff) and a 190gr rnfp from a Lee group buy mould. Might get warm enough Sunday to try them. 17 degrees at the house at lunchtime today.

Locked all the guns and ammo up - grandchildren coming. ages three and two and then the other five - from 8 down to 18 mo. Will have a houseful of kids tomorrow, a fire in the fireplace, hot mulled cider in the slow cooker and dinner for all.

Trying to get the reload room organized, try to figure out what powders to make loads for first, save the unobtanium powder for later(like Varget).

Put the finishing touches on a batch of 50 gr .224 cal bullets I swaged from .22 RF hulls. Did a final tumble polish & dry. I hope to get my .222 dialed in after the first of the year,
