I got a 150 or so off them Lee 185 gr boolits lube up with Ben's Red. Loaded a few into 7.62x54R brass and shot a few off hand at my gong. Hit it most every time I pulled the trigger and the sights were lined up.
That long barrel gets heavy hanging out there. I got a bit wobbly and pulled a few but it was fun. From looking at the splats on the gong I might get some ok groups when I try them on paper.

Yesterday I sorted about a third of a 5 gallon bucket of brass that a buddy brought by. I scrapped most of it but thats ok. It was free and I keep the junk to sell as scrap. He found a "new to us" gravel pit while Turkey hunting and I expect most of this stuff has laid there since deer season.

Cast using my new MP mould

    Hi all,
I cast up a little over 13 lbs of 200 gr SWC (HG 68) with my new Mihec 6C mould. Once it got to temp, it really cast some nice bullets fairly quickly. The alloy I had in my pot was 16:1, which I think will be just fine since this mould is a no groove profile and I plan to coat them with Hi-Tek.

    Converted a MEC 650 in 12 ga. to 16 ga. Had two 650's, a 9000G and a PW 800B in 12 gauge, but no 16 gauge.

Now that I've got a MEC 650 set up for 16 gauge, guess it's time to buy a 16 gauge shotgun.

The Military Bolt-gun Match at the local club is tentatively set for this Sunday. It probably won't happen, but...

Just in case, I loaded 60 rounds of 7.62x54r to shoot in the Sako M39.

    I'll be ready.

Since I've been home, I've been cleaning brass. I go down every couple hours and dump a batch then put the next batch in.

I think I'm about 1-2 days away from having all my dirty brass clean! I've only got 40 S&W and 357 Sig left...

Nice and cleaned up 44 Mags:

Loaded more 9mm with Lee 358225RF over some Bullseye. I have about another 60 to do then set up for 38 spl. I think I’m set for 9mm for a year now!

I got an awesome deal on some 147gn .356" Bayou bullets from a local guy that was unloading them. So last night I loaded up a few different test rounds using Sport Pistol, W231, and Autocomp. As long as the rain around here drys up by the weekend, I will get out and chrono them on Sunday.

After that I stared at the bucket of mixed brass for a minute while sipping on a cold beer. Even after offering it a few more handfulls of brass it still hasnt sorted itself which is quite unfortunate.

I really need to start sorting brass in small amounts instead of waiting until there is a full bucket.

Last batch (the Tokarev cases) is in the tumbler...
And my favorite range opens on the 4th!

Gonna need to load up some boolits in the next couple weeks so I can start the process again.

Sized 600 9mm boolits and cast 20lbs of the same boolit. Started to load 300 of them and broke the collar on the powder system of the 550. Just ordered a new one on my dime since I was trying out an adjustment change. Went too far it seems. Live and learn.
