Nothing today, but did read my Lyman 4th edition Cast Boolit handbook.
Yesterday the polisher did 3 batches of pistol brass (357, 38spec, 45acp) and a batch of 30-30 win.
Loaded 50 rounds of 30-30win with Lee 150gr flat nose gas checked and lubed in my old grey Lyman lube/sizer to 0.312".
H2400 16gr to push the load down the barrel of a NEF break action 30-30 win.
Should be a great deer load for the 12 y.o. grand daughter.
    Sorry no pics.

Smelted down ~ 100 lbs. of lead of various types-- cast boolits from dead guy stuff in calibers that I don't load, bunch of what I suspect is pretty close to pure lead--boolits from a North-South skirmish match and a batch of range lead mixed with a bunch of 22 rimfire boolits.

The rimfire batch was interesting, it was given to me by a buddy, I didn't check it, just tossed it into and empty pot and set it on the turkey fryer. Went over to stir it and skim the dross off the top when there was a rather nice BANG, Cool beans man, never had a live round go off in the pot before.

And the tinsel fairy didn't get me

Sized a bunch of green powder coated Lee 230 TC to use with my "Distressed" cases. Placed some bullets on top of the cases to get the look. I think they will come out looking pretty neat. The cases were wet tumbled then put in vibratory tumbler with wax and corncob media. Click image for larger version.

I like that look. What did you use to distress the brass?

Tumble lubed and sized 11 pounds of 38 wadcutters from my new MP mould (360-160-WC).

Melted some lead sheathed cable, some foil from dental xray film. Cleaned up enough to find the floor and at least some bench top. Ran the brass from a friends funeral salute through tumbler with SS pins so his widow would have clean brass to put in a keepsake box for the grandkids.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.

Mounted LED strip lights over the benches.

The good news is, now I can see!

The bad news is, now I can see!

The amount of junk cluttering the bench tops is amazing...

Had a Lee 8x56R seater die modfied for the "Oldfeller Frankenstein" bullet.... Had it opened up to.341" (from .332). A local machine shop did it for me on a lathe for $20... Lee folks suggested that, rather than wait months due to their custom shop backlog.

Also had to shorten the seater plug a bit.... I wanted at least two threads engaged on the seater " top" at my seating depth..

This puts the gas check just at the beginning of the case neck. The finished cartridge feeds when loaded in the clips and functions through the Steyr M95 action perfectly....
