I'm trying out my new Frankford Arsenal rotary tumbler. I bought it to clean the baffles of my .22 suppressor, but found it cleans brass crazy clean. Not as complicated as some people make it look. My Lyman vibratory might get shelved. Also working up subsonic loads for my 9MM's. Working with 147 gr Lyman's and Eastwood powder coat. 2.5 gr. of Tightgroup looks promising.

    Sized a bunch of .32 S&W-L and 7.62X54R brass.
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.

Sized the .44 mag cases that I shot today, as well as almost a whole box of once fired (now )
.45 Colt brass a man gave me. I have almost 50, maybe more, of 30/30 a.i. brass that I fireformed today. I also managed to knock my plastic Midway box that I have loaded with ready to fire loads onto the concrete twice, and shatter the lid.

Made some test loads for my .45 with new boolits I cast from my new HG68 Mihec mold which has been sitting on the shelf for quite a while now.
started with 4.0 grs of Red dot (I have 10+ lbs that I want to use at some point) loaded some at 4.5 and 5.0 grains.
Now just have to find some time to shoot em so I can load the rest

Working up subsonic 9MM loads. Casted about 700 147 gr Lyman pills and powder coated them yesterday. Using Eastwood PC. Wife's cooking lunch, then it's family nap time, and I'm off to the range! Running them is a gen 3 Glock 17 with Faxon match barrel and Hybrid 46 suppressor.

Loaded up 200 rounds of 8x50R Lebel. Lee 329-205 boolit(as cast), gas checked, BLL, 16 gr 2400, WLP, seated so gas check is just at bottom of neck.

This load is wonderfully accurate in my M1916 Berthier.... And hopefully in my recently acquired Lebel R35 carbine....

I processed about 500 pieces of .45 auto brass, and then loaded up 100 rds using this bullet from an old Lee group buy a little more than 10 years ago:

    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...uy-starts-here!

4.0 grains of Clays with an OAL of 1.21".

This load works beautifully in both my Sig P220 and Springfield MilSpec.

10/13 Checked my range bag, loaded up targets and off to my shooting place. I shot 50 rounds of 9mm. This was with Lee 358-105 SWC that I had lubed with Lee Liquid Alox, and sized to .356. I wanted to use boolits sized to .357, but couldn't get them to fit my barrel 'Plunk' test to my satisfaction. I used 3.7gr of bullseye and am happy with the results. The .356 performed very well and made beautiful "Hole Punch" holes in my targets. They grouped as well as my shaky old hands could hold them on target. I'm happy with them. More to come.

Got up rather early and turned on the tumbler. I let the brass .44 mag and .45 Colt, run most if the day, at least until the Talladega race was over, and then went in and lubed and sized my fireformed brass and put that into the tumbler. I'll check the length and trim what needs trimming tomorrow, depending on how this old body is doing.....

Got up early again for some strange reason so I turned on the tumbler. About three hours later I dumped it, inspected my brass again, trimmed what was needed and discarded the stuff that was questionable to me.
