I shot 300 rounds of .38spl earlier today, I've got the brass tumbling right now, and should be able to start loading them in about an hour.

Not much. I measured a 44 caliber bullet that I used before in cowboy action shooting and know will feed in my Marlin 94. Would like to get a mould for a bullet similar. Thought about some storage ideas for my moulds and sizing dies. Would like to build something useful out of wood since my shop is all finished in pine.

Cleaned up a bit. Loaded 50 rounds of 22 K Hornets, sorted brass and ran three batches of brass through the SS tumbler and put some brass up for trade on Cast Boolits.

Loaded a bunch of 165 grain 30-30 rounds to play with@ 16 gr 2400. Also a bunch of 8mm 170 Grain Rounds with @19 gr 2400...Now just waiting for the end of Deer rifle season in Pa so I can get back to a bench on the public range to really do some shooting!. Also turned 30-30 brass necks on 150 cases...but should have been smelting in the sunshine and 33 degree weather

I smelted about 150 lbs of lead, anchors , pipes and wheel weights, all poured into ingots ready to cast.

I loaded 200 rounds of .38spl last night, lee 158gr SWC over 3.0grs of Bullseye. This morning I cast about 350 more of the same bullet, might cast another pot tonight. Or I might just lube and size the ones I have, of course I also have 100 more pieces of .38 brass to load, decisions decisions.

Just stumbled across this thread and thought how appropriate. Haven't poured any in several months and since it was nice out today I poured up around 30 pounds of .45's

I am the proud owner of a Ruger 77 Hawkeye in 7mm-08. One of my two moulds is the Lyman 297405. It is rated to drop a 150 gr. bullet. But mine are typically 145 gr. with clip on wheel weights. With H4895 it will shoot 2 MOA so reliably that it is only boredom that causes me to stop.

The other mould is the RCBS #82018. It is rated to drop a 168 grain bullet. But for some reason it yields 180 gr. bullets with Lyman #2. Go figure. However, I have not as yet found an accurate load with either H4895 or H4350, or a couple other slower powders I've tried.

So, I decided to try faster powders. I went powder hunting and purchased two pounds of AA5744 for $35 each, and 1 pound of H4198 (different shop). Those are very good prices here in Lansing, MI. I have seen several powders priced at $40.

Tonight I loaded up 20 rounds. Ten with 20 grains of AA 5744 and ten with 20.5 grains of H4198. They are seated to an OAL of 2.6" which for this bullet is just off of the rifling. Estimated fps is is the 1700 - 1800 range.

My goal is to get a recipe that will yield consistently good accuracy. If I achieve that goal, It should be a potent white tail deer round.

So, that is what I did at the reloading bench tonight. The culmination of a fruitful, enjoyable day of retirement.

I loaded up 300 rounds of 9mm to practice with this weekend. Some in Lee 120tc and some in NOE 358-121rn. I want to see if there is any difference in accuracy between the two boolits.

I'd be really interested in knowing the outcome of your testing with these two boolits. PM me if you don't want to start a thread on it or add the results to this one.

Sized and Lubed about 100 boolits for my 45 ACP. Lee TL452230-2R. Used the 45-45-10 lube mixture.
These will be my first trials for the 45, should load them up later this week for trials over the weekend weather permitting!

I took the next step from Websterz post. I put 400 of those 180g Lee .40 TC boolits into their own little brass cases with 4.8g of HP-38. Thinking that tonight will be a .45 night, have 45lbs or
so of 452374 boolits, and two 4 gallon buckets of LPP 45 brass on hand.

Moved everything out for my wifes whole house flooring remodel. With ice fishing coming on I hope to have it back the way it was by February. Has to be 20+ boxes scattered between garage and shop.

Decided to see if I could find anything I didn't need to give away in the Christmas thread. Found some 7mm bullets. I was casting over the weekend so I wiped the top down w/ Ballistol while I was in there. And yes, it always looks like this when not in use.
