Loaded up some 30-30 rounds with 165gr RNFP coated[Missouri bullets] with 8 and 9gr Unique.
That sure looks like a small amount of powder in that case. I need to find a powder that works close to that pressure and velocity, but, fills the case more. Suggestions?

I have a 550 with every aluminum piece polished. It makes it stand out over a standard 550. The count now is one 550 with all the aluminum finish parts polished, and two additional powder measures for the 650 that I polished.

TRAIL BOSS is what you wanting. Near full pressure but low velocities.

Load 75-100% Density but dont compress.

Got a Black & Decker cheap hot plate about 12 dollars at a "Ollies" Store that sells I guess liquidated items and put a piece of 3/8 x 3 inch x 12 inch flat steel bar stock on it to heat my Lee 6 cav 175 gr 40 S&W mould It worked great had the mould heated right up gently to 180 f with my Craftsman infrared thermometer and began to cast after a few runs excellent bullets. Learned it from Cast Bollits members here thanks !

Sized and lubed 50 125 gr. RF Lee boolits. Then I got back into the house. The air conditioner in the shed helped a little, but not much, with the heat index @105 outside, and the shed is uninsulated metal.

Resized and tumbled the 9mm cases that I fired this morning, and later resized the 30/30 A.I. brass that I fired. It was too hot to try to tumble that today.....

Broke out the 45 Colt conversion for my Dillon 550. Set it up and got read to load.

Nope never mind the conversion I picked up from a buddy is a 44 mag in a 45 colt box.
    DOH!
ah well I’ll borrow the correct conversion from another buddy until I can sort this out.

Since I short loaded the powder charge in some 5.56s,
I figured out how to pull the bullets---------- all 300 of them---- without leaving too much of a ding using electricians pliers.

Cleaned the 30/30 a.i. brass that I fireformed yesterday and cleaned two pistols. It wasn't quite as hot late this afternoon due to a thunderstorm just south of here.... still couldn't stay in the shed, even with the a/c for too long.
