We were having terrible weather today. Tornadoes and now heavy winds and rain. I stayed in.....

Loaded up another 55 rounds of .38-55 to test in the Ballard Pacific that I bought recently and then loaded about 100 rounds of .30-06 for my 1929 vintage Springfield 1903 with 3 different cast boolits. I'll try to load a few more rounds tomorrow for at least one other rifle since we're heading out for a range day on Tuesday ...
I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't reached my "Expiry" date!

Well I had big plans for doing stuff out in the reloading/shop this winter but life stuck hard.
I was at work removing some plywood about 8 feet above the cement floor when some wood came loose before expected causing me to step back and lost my footing causing me to fall. I landed on my feet just to break my heel in several places aggggg.
Hoping for a sprain got a x ray and sent to a foot doc he sent me for a cat scan then to see a surgeon on this Monday. So I been sitting around the house with ice packs and pain pills hoping the swelling will go down in case they can work on it Monday.
The stock I ordered for my XHR rem 700 is coming in Monday as well along with a few other items I have order for the same rifle. My plans were to add pillars and bed the stock. I also picked up a torque screw driver and scope lapping bars for mounting the scope and action.
My youngest son also got a stock for his savage 110 and we planned on working on the rifles together.
I am not a gun smith so I was going to take my time and do more research as I moved along with the process and turn my own pillars since I got a lathe now.
Along with that I picked up three dillon square deal presses that needed new priming systems that came in this week as well plan was getting them mounted and up and running.
Plans are the same I have a lot more time to do it but I will be a lot slower right now I can not do anything without my foot been up in the air.

my typing skills and spelling skills suck pain meds do not help sorry for the poor write up
Reloading to save money I am sure the saving is going to start soon

Resized a coffee can of 380's that I started yesterday. Stumbled onto a nearly full coffee can of 44 specials that I resized also. Messed around and knocked over my shell holder rack so I had 20 something shell holders to sort!

    RP,

Bummer to read about your heel. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

    ------------------------

I was getting ready to do a run of 150 - 9mm in 124TC & RN, but got called away to do something for the missus. I am hoping to get on them tomorrow.

I have some more 38Sp. & 45acp brass to clean & tumble as well.

    Always something....

I have been sizing some 7x57 brass to begin playing with different powders .
Tomorrow's high is going to be in the low 20s , so I think I'm staying in the house for a day or two .
    I should cast a few boolits .

Put together an AR kit from PSA. Set up the Lyman Universal Trimmer with the power adapter for a drill. Watching the Chiefs now.

I actually got into the reloading room yesterday, and assembled some ammo!

Loaded 25 .500 S&W with Lil' Gun and Hornady 300gr FTX. I'll run those through an H&R single shot.

Also loaded 10 .300 BO with 2400 and 110 gr. VMax for an AR pistol.

Not cast boolits, but it's something!

Recently read on this forum that PMC headstamped .40S&W brass can be converted to .357Sig, so I did...loaded them with PC'd 125g LRFNs up to crimp groove on top of AA#9...

Time to sit down and figure out why my cartridges made with my own casts won't chamber consistently. Everything appears to be in spec.

Made 300 loading opportunities for 223 at the range today. All fired through a PSA AR, functioned, and 3 inch groups at 25 yards with open sights (I need practice, scoped is much better). Tried Rem Oil sprayed into the bag of opportunities to use for sizing and it worked. No more wiping Imperial Wax on cases! Then neck sized and expanded the 270 brass I annealed last Sunday.

Got my new turret press bolted in. Ran out of time to get it setup, but that’s next... never enough time.
