Didn't load, but did set up two pet feeders, one on either side of my SDB, with the left hand side for boolits, the right for pistol brass. Much greater capacity with a smaller footprint on my bench top compared to the trays I used before, and with the advantage of self replenishment of the holding areas.

Checked the size of my marlin slb bore ,according to my calipers its got a.456 diameter bore .happy with that as my Lee mold is 457 .maybe the new rifles have a tighter barrel as most comments seem to be on how they have larger bores than that or I've got lucky?

Experimented with expanding .40 S&W brass to .452 by pushing it into a .444 marlin sizing die with the decapping pin removed. The expanders ball is not .429 in diameter, bought used. Using the die to seat the 175 gr core expanded an annealed case to .460+", didn't move a non-annealed case. It would make a nice HP but the expander ball keeps hitting the core off center. Then running it into a .243 Win. Sizing die gives a nice ogive. Now to make both FN & HP center punches.

Fired up the furnace for the first time in months. Was able to make and powder coat 120 rounds of 432-250 for my brand new (to me) S&W629. Can’t wait to take that baby out for a spin.

For anyone interested in seeing the various stages of using clear powder coat.

I just took my step son to see my mess,,,,err, I mean set up. He recently bought a Kel-Tec bullpup 5.56 and is getting a Glock 19 Gen 4 with the rear sight removed and milled out for a reflex sight. Where he shoots he has to use factory ammo.
    That's way outta my budget!

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?

Deprimmed the latest batch of range brass while listening to some 60 and 70's music. Straightened up the shelf that holds my cartridge collection and updated the master list.

Deprimed and resized some .308 brass. 150gr. RNFP Lee over 30gr. IMR-3031 does quite well for me.

    Yesterday I loaded 30 rds. .308, 30 rds. .222 Rem, 20 rds. .303 Brit., 50 rds. .32 S&W, 50 rds. .45 ACP. I don't know which I enjoy more - shooting or reloading. Sometimes I think it's the reloading, but one feeds another so it's all good.

It’s Mihec’s 432-250 WFN. It was the group buy from a few months ago here.

    Deprimed some 9mm.
Santa brought an SCCY 9mm to Mrs Bookworm, and we went down behind the barn to try it out. She likes the firearm, but it's going to need some shooting to loosen it up a bit. The first loading of the two mags, she could get only one or two in each. I managed to get a total of 4 rounds in each of the new mags. By the time she had fired a hundred or so, I could get 7 in each mag.
Long trigger, but fairly smooth. Long reset bothers me more than her, she doesn't know any better. Practice will help.

Then, I dealt with some of the 'oops' rounds in the "deal with it later" can. Mostly just hammer them apart, and dump the contents in the mixed powder/fertilizer container. The lead goes in the remelt can, punch out the good primers for reuse. Toss the brass in the appropriate 'to be cleaned and proccessed' bin.

Boring work, but it's gotta be done.
