Harvested a total of 250 pounds of range scrap this week in under an hour total. Did some load testing for the G35 with VVN340 and found a load we both like. Oh, and I cast about 50 pounds of .40 S&W projectiles this past week too.

I just got in from trimming 60 some 30/30 brass with a manual trimmer. I do believe that there's the only thing I hate about handloading.... trimming brass.

Fortunately my 30-06 a.i. makes the neck shorter so they don't need trimming......

I got early and packed my yesterday load 300, .357 mag. To go in my way to the range, to set up my Henry .357 new scope, but is raining in the South 40% of raining and thunderstorms.

Put away some bullets and parts I received in mail orders from Midway, Natchez and Mid-South Shooters.

Ya gotts ta replenish some time!!

Tonight I will try to CAST a couple pots of bullets! Some more 40's, some 170 .310's and maybe some more 357 SWC' with that mold I fixed. (Pins moved and sides did not align)

I flared all of my recently sized 30/30 brass, filled some boxes with them and what was left over I made some mouse fart loads w/ .7cc of Bullseye and the 170 gr. RD boolits, sized to .309 and finger lubed w/ Carnauba Red then dipped in JPW.

Yes, I was a bit bored.

Cast up 105 Lyman 525 gn and 89 Russian Savdog slugs. Then melted 50% of my range scrap into ingots. Not a bad day

I gained more space in the shop and made some money in the process.

Thats a lot of brass! It takes me a year to fill a 5 gallon bucket. Mine is usually worn out hand loads but some is damaged range pick ups or undesirable head stamps.

Floyd and I got up before dawn and cast up 100 keepers. As always, excuse the mess.

Sorting a little brass for a trade. A little straightning up, always a work in progress, and moving a stack of ingots. Its about too hot to cast so I try to find things to do in the loading room while I listen to songs from the 60's and 70's on the computer.

Made a thousand reloading opportunities at the range today, all through the Glock 26. I sold my 19 last week because I love this one so much.

Spent the day at the range "prepping" brass to be loaded. Prepped some shot and slug shells to be reloaded too. Best part, the buddy I was shooting with doesn't reload so I scored his brass too!

Put together set of shelves so I could get started organizing some shotgun stuff and my brass which was overflowing the existing brass shelf. Not exactly a bad problem to have though.

Also melted what I suspect was a batch of block tin line and poured as disks in muffin pans so it wouldn't take up so much space.
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

Kind of hard to claim to love America while one is hating half the Americans that disagree with you. One nation indivisible requires work.
