Lead bullets Matter
There are three kinds of men: The ones that learn by reading. The few who learn by observation. The rest of them have to pee on the electric fence and find out for themselves. - Will Rodgers

I haven't tried them yet. Been raining for a while and the SO range is where I usually go. The ones I loaded w/ 5 gr. of BE shot into a tiny group @ 25 yards A bit high at to the right, but I didn't do ant scope adjustments, just shot to have fun. No, no pictures... altho I should have taken a few....
I was going to put the same charge as I use in my 9mm, but I'll save that for next time...

Loaded some .44 Mag and .45
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.
Cast up a bunch of 169gr H&G (#20) boolets for my 1903.

Slammed 50 rounds of 5.56 together for the kid before going to the range this morning. Had a 20 minute rain delay and then all was good at the range.

Worked on the Remington 510 project. Not restoring just adjusting the patina.....

I loaded up about 100 rounds of 357 mag. I loaded them with a 125gr Remington SJHP and 17.0gr of 2400. I'm getting about 1290 FPS out of them in my 3" SP101. This is my new self defense load. It's stout, but certainly manageable.

Yesterday, before it got hot, I sorted a bucket of weights. Then I cleaned up the lead splatters on the shop floor left from last weeks smelting session.
Loaded 90 308 s with 150grwfp Lee boolits over 18gr of 2400. Then 50 357 with rcbs 190sil boolit over 11.5 gr 2400 .need to do some casting but its so hot at the moment 75-85 .which is unusual here .
Cast some pure lead boolits for slugging barrels and chamber casting
Sorted 5 gal of range brass. Tumbling some now as well. Having a hard time keeping up with the demand now that my son is shooting more so I went to corn cob tumbling 9mm rather than decapping and SS pin tumbling. He has offered to help but his schedule makes it hard.

Tom, I size to .311 and lube with Thompson Blue Angel. Keeping the velocity to around 1500fps I get 3 - 4" groups at 100yds, sometimes better but my eyes prevent consistently smaller groups.
I particularly like this load for my '03 because the elevation is perfect (@ 100yds) with the leaf sight down ... for my eyes that's where I get the best sight picture.

Boxed up some bullets for a friend of mine. Powder coated a lot of bullets. Started sizing some .380 bullets. Still have some .44 SWC to coat. Jist did a few to see how they would coat. Need to cast more first.

At one with the gun.
The HP rifle bullets in this picture were sprayed. Depending on the size of the HP I dont aleays use airsoft BBs. They get stuck in the nose of the Hammer bullet but not in the SWC HP bullets. I prefer shake and bake but the pink and blue didn't so I had to spray it.
