Fired up the casting pot down in the barn, ran a couple classic 38/357 molds. These are old Ideal 2-cavity molds, and after running Lee 6-cavs and NOE 4-cavs, those doubles seem to take FOREVER to make a pile.

    About 16 pounds of 358-156, a gas-checked SWC. 50/50 CWW/Pb.
These drop about 160 grains, so that's roughly 700 boolits.
For when I want a full power 357, which admittedly isn't as often as it used to be.

Also, 13 pounds of 358-477, a plain base SWC. Range lead + a touch of tin.
These drop about 150 grains, so approx 600 boolits.
These are for full power 38s, and midrange 357 loads.

I'd post pics, but I'm having serious problems with pic posting on this site.

Loaded a small batch of 480 Ruger snake loads for a buddy. Probably going to set up the pot and cast something after supper. Don't know what yet, need 475, 410 358, 375, 6.5, 7mm, 8mm, 45, 9.3, that I can think of off the top of my head.

Hung up the 2018 Dillon calendar

Also cast about 25lb of lead into TL365-95-RF & 365-125-2R. About to spend the rest of the evening powder coating a couple thousand bullets I've cast over the past few days.

The past few days it's been in the 80's...this is after a 4 inch snowfall no less, I knew it was warm enough for the Lithi-Bee lube in my 450 to flow so I lubed and sized a bunch of boolits I had cast and hadn't had time to finish up. NOE 357-124-TC GC.
A cold front has started moving in so after a couple hours I shut down operations and came into the warm house.

Processed another 500 or so pieces of LC 308.

Getting ready to load up a bunch stuff to try out in the new T/C Compass and the LR-308. Hoping to maybe find something they both like.

I broke the shoulder screw that holds down the shell plate on my Dillon Square Deal B. Parts were easy enough to order from their website.

Pound slugged the throat and bore of Ruger New Vaquero and Uberti S&W No.3 .45 Colt. After drawing dimensions it's not hard to figure which boolit and size will work best!

Began the loooong process of cleaning, organizing and straightening up. I feel a few hundred 300 grain 44 hp's being swaged in the near future.
Life is so much better with dogs!

I really took it easy. I just boxed up 15 boxes of already loaded 20 ga. shells. Talk about lazy....

Hopefully you ordered a couple of spares, I have had these pop for no apparent reason. Don't know if they are intentionally weak to act as a shear pin kind of safety.
Couple of spares in the drawer is a good plan.

    Cast another batch of 475's and 410. 475 for a 470 N.E. the 410 for 450/400 N.E.

You hear a giant sucking sound coming from the pot when you cast these flying door stops.
