Cross mixed 3 batches of linotype spacers into 90# of consistent alloy, using the heat from the burner to make cleaning and straightening the garage a bit pleasanter temperature wise. Sorted .308 win by headstamp while watching Christmas shows. Managed to cast up some .575 round ball using a new Lee mold. I like casting RB they always drop so easily. Think wife is getting suspicious of my claims of "running those just for the heat".
Scrap.... because all the really pithy and emphatic four letter words were taken and we had to describe this source of casting material somehow so we added an "S" to what non casters and wives call what we collect.

jonp - I've tried CFE blk under some 185gr GC in the pistol, works fine and I get lots more under the heavies as it is a fine powder. Lilgun supposedly burns pretty hot.
    Whatever!

You certainly caught my attention with this one. Glad to see the powder is good for other things as well.

Tumbling a couple hundred 9mm cases for reloading tonite or early tomorrow morning.

I have not shot for a couple weeks. Time to get out again, now that the firearms deer hunting is done.
( I shoot at a couple of "Public Land" areas. So, I leave off to let the firearms hunters have the place until after the firearms season. Bow hunters don't seem to mind, as I am closer to the parking lots & they are not. )

Looking forward to shooting again. Almost feel "rusty".

Yep a good times for sure! Well not yet, but when they all be a pile of shiny ingots then you'll be doing the tired but happy dance. And post picture of big stack and say, smelted WW's today...

Primed and belled a batch of 416 Rigby, profiled the nose on a batch of 416 boolits on the lathe to ensure smooth feeding from the magazine. Sized lubed and gas checked a batch of .375's. Started to lube a batch of 380/200 boolits until I disassembled my lubesizer to see why it was turning so hard. Galled shaft/top nut. New ones on the way from RCBS.

enloe- your son wins Gun Trade of the Year!
I epoxied a one piece Weaver base to my very rough SMLE. Once it cures, I'll D&T the front and drill and pin the rear. I'm going for low.

The DW's are one of the most under appreciated double action revolvers. Love my .44 DW!

it's a noe mold, too large a meplat to feed from the magazine. I ground a form tool to convert them to a round nose. I'll post pictures when i get home, delivered an old propeller blade to my nephew that had been taking up space in the shop. He's going to use it as decoration for his office. 6'4" and not a clue what plane it came from. Too cool for me to just toss.

Won a gift certificate at a local hardware store that sells reloading supplies. Finally got around to picking up a Hornady collet bullet puller. Went to work on over 100 .223 rounds I have collected over the year that needed pulled. I should have got one of these sooner! So much easier than that stupid hammer! Now to grab the 9mm and .308 collets too! I have most of a shoe box of 9mm to pull that's at least a year old.
