Cast 600 158 gn .357 Mag, 150 9mm, 200 .224 and 175 12 ga 525 gn slugs. (the slugs were pure lead) I think I have to go back to my Lee 125-356 2R mold. It just takes way too long to cast any amount with the Magma Engineering 124gn BBNLG mold 2 at a time.

Today was to be a casting session with a my new Lee C225-55-rf, but discovered it was my first dud of a Lee mold after many good ones. A gorilla must have been in charge of tightening anything with threads. Just need to install a set screw for the sprue plate screw and see why it still will not lay flat after loosening it.

ongoing -- sorted 1000+ 223 for the best headstamps to convert to 300 AAC blackout ( some headstamps the cases are to thick to use without reaming the case), cut them a little over length, deprimed and polished them.

Waiting for RCBS AR Series Small Base 2-Die Set with Taper Crimp to get here

While not in the room but from the room. TNW ASR 40 S&W carbine. I have both 9mm and 40 S&W barrels and bolt faces. We had the attack of the osage orange, had to dispatch them with extreme prejudice. The rifle shoots cast like there is no end. 22LR and 44mag as well.

Ran out of .251 51 gr pills I cast. So started loading the swagged 52.3 gr bullets that came with the mold brass and H&I die. I'm still going to have more brass than bullets.

For the first time in a longer time than I'm willing to admit....I got a bit done. Nothing much, but I do now have 50 rds. of 45-70 ready to go for my KY trip in a few weeks. Much more to do.....plenty of 43 Spanish to load for the roller and the Peabody, but it felt good to be drop-tubing powder again!

Are your 416's gas checked? What hardness?

I shoot a 416 Rigby and have been looking for projectiles, but haven't found what I wanted yet.

All I can tell you for the 416 is to draw down 40 S&W brass from .423 to .416 and you will have a LOT of
    jackets for your bullets.
I would bet kutil can do this or make a die for a press

I'm loading for Cuz Kevin as deer season is upon us. I loaded 50 6.8SPC with H4895 and Sierra 110gr sp. The .44 magnum brass is in the tumbler. I'm going with Unique and jacketed to use them all up. Then I'll talk him into using cast for that Redhawk Hunter.

Loaded up the rest of my .38 special cases. Later on I wandered back to see about loading some 30/06 ai loads, but had so many I decided not to just yet. I found almost 200 rounds I had loaded up for fireforming. I gotta get to an outdoor range.

Yes, they are gas checked, sized 417. I don't know the hardness, 50/50 mix of range scrap and telephone sheathing. This is Noe's 416 bullet. Beautiful mold, too wide a meplat to feed out of the magazine. Started lathe turning the nose profile into a round nose. First try appears to work.

I have just started loading the 416 Rigby, like all old cartridges they are always challenging. Still trying to come up with a solution to consistent case mouth belling.

Wow, nice. I like wide meplats.

I'd love to see some pics of those.

At the price of commercial projectiles, I think I may have to pic up a mold for them as well.

I bet they are plenty hard.. I've used telephone sheathing before and I think it had at least 1% antimony in it.
