You all made me tired talking about moving all that lead , and brass so I'm going to take a nap in a little bit . I might go make some empty brass later though .

Went down to load some 45 ACP and wound up sweeping water. Early morning storm floated/blew a piece of plastic over the drain outside the door. Dehumidifier running full tilt.
    Thank goodness for tomorrow.

Is this similar to the Lee 405 gr boolit? From your pictures they look identical.

Working my way thru FLSing a batch of 300 BO brass. Still have a borrowed upper from a friend and playing around with it.

This sure is a interesting cartridge with so much varying potential.

I am referring to the plain base Lee 405 gr. I don't think you're lyman mold is identical to the hollow base 405 Lee.

The nose is longer on the Lyman than the Lee I believe . I don't have a Lee 405 . The Lyman here and the Lee 450 are similar in proportions .

I do have a thread with a whole bunch bullets in it though and some of those are Lee .

F/L sized, trimmed, chamferred and deburred and cleaned 322 pcs. of .30-30 brass. Loved every second of it.

The last few days cast about a 1000 H&G 224 powder coated and sized them. Will load them into 9mm in the next few days.

Loaded up 80 rounds of 9mm. That was all of the lubed cast boolits I had left. I am sure liking the reverse rotation kit form Inline Fabrication.

Installed my new Forster co-ax (hidden in bargain cave at Cabelas for $179) and destroyed a few 32-20 cases deciding I'll switch back to the RC for those. Semi quick change setup. Have a 6"x6"x3/4" plate with holes drilled for the Rock chucker and the Forster now. The plate is bolted 3/4 way on the bench so it over hangs 2" or so for clearance

I was loading .45 ACP hollow point boolits and broke a part on my Dillon 650. I had to wait an agonizing 4 minutes on hold to order the new part. Now I have to figure out why that particular part broke.

I then switched benches and starting casting more .45 ACP hollow points. I'm really in love with that NOE mold.

Headed to the range to see how they shoot on Wednesday!

    Currently casting for .223, .308, .30-06, .30-40 Krag, 9mm, .38/.357, 10mm, 44 Mag and 45 ACP.

    I like strange looking boolits!

I loaded some powder coated Lee 405 hollow based .45-70's over 22.5 grains of my remaining, hoarded SR-4759 to test in my 1878 dated Trapdoor Springfield. PC'ing them brought them up to .461 / 462" which is a better fit in my old, large bored rifle. I test fired them at 100 yards and they were shooting into about 6 to 8 inches (which is better than the original tests when as cast they were shooting about "minute of sheet of plywood" at 100 yards). More testing is needed to fine tune the load, but it's a lot more promising than the original go around ...

got my Lee 38 trim die, chucked up my power driver and started going thru about 2000 cases. I never used to trim straight wall cases but it makes it easy to use the flash hole tool, and leads to a more consistant crimp. Besides, what else am I gonna do while watching Breaking Bad reruns?

Just heading down to sort out some cleaned brass that I took out of the tumbler. I put the 9mm dies in the small primer Dillon 550 so I should load some test ammo to try in my wife's new Chiappa M1-9 carbine the next time we take it out ...
