I found a steel set of 32 H&R RCBS dies. I cleaned them and set them up in July press to replace the Hornady set I really do not like...

Darned if the sizer die isn’t too short and will not properly size a 327 piece of brass!!! Grrr

So I relegated them to the 32 Long loading and set up a set for the 218 BEE.

I loaded five pieces with 4227 and a 46g Speer FP bullet.

Dumped about 300 BEE cases in the big tumbler and snapped it on with Walnut and cleaner.

I recently rechambered a Marlin 1892 to 32 S&W long from 32 Colt long. I bought some 100 gr. Cast RN bollits with 2 lube grooves to use in place of the heeled bollit . I found to get them to feed I needed to trim the brass to .885 OAL and loaded up 50 with 2.2 grs. of Titegroup and the 100 grainer crimped lightly at the front edge of the top lube groove they ended up at 1.220 and feed slick.

Apparently these days anything I say/don't say, or do/don't do, really pisses off the bride. So I poured a bourbon and went downstairs and thoroughly cleaned several of my antique cartridge rifles. It was a good time.... Radio cranked up, garage door open, sweet smell of Ballistol on the breeze.

And....well timed. Actually found some flash rust in the bore of the Werndl…… First for me, and eye opening. So...had to put eyes/patches on all of them, just to be sure. The rest were good to go....and I have no idea what was up with the Werndl. My cleaning/oiling regimen is thorough, and the bore in that rifle is pristine. I'll be keeping an eye on that for sure.

With seating depth, I try to get the boolit within about one 100th of an inch away from the lands so there really isn't much jump but it gives a little leeway for differences in powder coat/boolit nose size, etc. Once I've made a dummy boolit and found where the boolit should sit, I figure out the volume and try to find a charge for a similar sized boolit / volume and do some calculations to try to figure out where to start. Then I go shooting to see if I was right.

I also try to seat boolits in bottle necked cases with the end IN the neck before the shoulder if possible. I know I do have one load where the gas check is past the neck - it's my 357 sig... I have to seat those guys further down for them to fit in the magazine and feed properly.

Tumbling 200 rounds of 223 and loaded 65 rounds of 270 with 10 grains of Red Dot and the RCBS 270-150 lubed with Orange Magic. Also discovered my Star heater was plugged into the same power strip I turned on last night to dry some recently water quenched boolits. It had been on for 20 hours...

Sized 400 9MM ELCO boolits, loaded 300 rounds of 9mm, and sized and flared 100 38 special cases in the last 3 hours. Had some stuff to think through from work.

Taught a youth group age 11-12 shooting skills. Had about 10 boys.

    Air rifles. Unsupported bench rest.

This is my first time In the years as nd years I finally had to remove a youngster from t by e firing line.

After multiple warnings to all of the boys if the remove thier safety glasses or googles Inisde of the range the would be asked to wait in the classroom.

One kid tested my resolve and took his off out them in the top of his head.

I asked him to step out.

Gus grandpa got pissed at me and dicided they were done. He told me I was too hard on them.

I responded back. This is a life lesson I am instilling into these kids. Learn how to shoot safely and responsibly.

He just left In a huff.

I hate knowing the only lesson that kid learned tonnight was if he breaks the rules his grandpa will take him out for icecream.

And he dose not need to take accountability for his actions.

Me and a buddy just finished stamping permanent letters on about 1200 ingots that we cast a few weeks ago. I'll go back out there in a little while and put mine away. I wish all of mine were stamped!
