Saturday I deprimed about 400 9mm with military primer pockets, then yesterday I swaged the pockets and this morning I tried about 6 of them to be sure they were going to be ok. They are ok now and I can get busy with the rest of the reloading process. I love this hobby

Fixed the fluorescent light above my press. Wet tumbled with stainless pins 500 45apc cases and loaded 300 .38spcl. rounds. Also spent about 2 hours cleaning the mess.

Setting up to cast, right now. Just waiting for the pot to come up to Temp.
    Going to cast N.O.E. TL432-240-RF 4cav, Lee 452-230-TC 6cav & Lyman #358477 4cav.
    I HATE auto-correct

Happiness is a Warm GUN & more ammo to shoot in it.

My Experience and My Opinion, are just that, Mine.

Cast a large pile of Lee 356-120-TC and a much smaller pile of the Lee 309-160-R from my ancient single cavity mold. The 9mm mold is a 6 holer and I'll set it on top of the lead pot as soon as I plug it in. By the time the alloy melts the mold is hot and ready to go. It doesn't take long to empty the 20 lb. pot once the rhythm kicks in.

Loaded three different loadings of 300 H&H to test out along with a handful of 7mm-08. Might get to the range on Sunday afternoon.

I'll be heading out to the shop shortly to fire up the casting pot. Prolly cast until the T'storms roll in.

I almost emptied my pot casting the 160 gr. Lee boolits. I have probably more that I can shoot in a year with single shot rifles! But now comes the Lubing and sizing.... That will take a while...

This is my “favorite thing to do in the world”.

250 223 basic cases were trimmed and reamed to make 357AR. A lot easier than making them out of 5.56. I can’t get the power adapter off the cutter shaft. This happens every time and I will eventually come up w/ a solution for it. Cases are in a rotary tumbler w/ some stainless media to see if they deburr this way. If not I get to perform “my second favorite thing to do in the world”.

I've been thinking more and more about working with the Remington 788 I found a year or so back at the Tulsa gunshow. Something about a .30-30 Bolt-gun that makes me smile.

To that end, I dug it out of the safe, and rounded up some factory ammo, with which I intend to zero the rifle before I start messing around with cast in it.

Of course, we had a hellacious storm early this morning, dumped a bunch of rain sideways. When it stopped, I walked down behind the barn to check out my range,. It's far too wet to shoot.

And now the wind is blowing at 50mph, gusting higher than that. I'll have to wait for another day.

Punched out about 500 9mm minor loads for the cz (about a weeks worth..) Gauged all of them. Rejects go in with practice ammo. Had the last few weeks cases run through the tumbler ready for loading again.
