MOA, I love that you are using 70 year old primers! They are still fine like old wine, yes?
Primed 90 pieces of 7.62x54r brass, for the club Military Bolt-gun match next Sunday.
I know the match comes once a month, but it sure does seem to sneak up on me sometimes.

Loaded 50 rds of 38 spl cases trimmed to 38 s&w length. Can't stand to throw a useful case away. Use 2.5 grs BE and 358430 135 gr boolit. Great practice in my Mod 36 snubbie. Short brass ejects pretty slick for fast speedloader reloads.

I have not done much of anything lately. But I've got 1000 223 cases trimmed and prepped to load. Gotta get on it too, because we're leaving Saturday on a Prairie Dog hunt.
I went in, looked around, counted how many boxed 9mm loads I have ready to go and turned around and went back to the house.
I do need to get some more MTM or Plano boxes.

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?
Going to the range tomorrow. After that I need to do a major cast session. I need 44's and 40's in a big way. I think it's gonna be a 30-40 pounder kind of session.

I still have 300 to 400 9mm that are sized to .358 that I used in my Glocks and my little Ruger. Gotta shoot them up one day. The Glocks held a lot of rounds, the Ruger doesn't...
The others are sized to fit my CZ, and they will fire just fine from the Ruger, but I have to keep them separated. I already found out what happens when I try to fire some .358 diameter boolits in the CZ. Other people have pistols that they say can do it, but mine is persnickety....

I made some .303 loads up today. These ones were dropped from a Lee .312 185 mold.
I used a Lyman .314 lube sizer for seating gas check. Lee Dipper #’s 1.9 & 2.2 for 3 of ea with scraped charges of IMR 4198
Boolits were seated to first lube groove.
I hope to get out tomorrow and see how they shoot.
Loaded 10 test loads for a buddy's 22-250, polished 41 300 H&H cases then annealed the necks, loaded 5, 30-06 tracer rounds, loaded 5, 30-06 incindiary loads.
Made 150 empty 45 Colt cases. In the polisher as I type. Should be all spiffy in the AM.
I cast up a couple hundred of .452 200gr SWC (H&G 68 clone), some 115gr 9mm , about 300+ .452 200gr Lee SWC, then I discovered I am out of ingots. Next on my list of 'To Do's is making more ingots
I used the 1.9cc scoop of 4198 with that same boolit, for my M-39 Finn. The cartridges are very close in capacity. IIRC, it should give you ~24gr of 4198
It shot well in that M39, although I didn't chrono it. I used 45/45/10 lube, no leading in a lightly frosted bore.
I think it will do fine in your 303.
I cast 877 Lyman 358429's totay
I got TIRED of looking for the needed shell holders for loading, so I spent two-plus hours going through all, writing #s down, and then making a Smart-Draw chart with all listed; and, sorting/placing them in surplus (to me) cases electronic parts (resistors) had come in. What troubles ( ) me is not having any idea why I now have, say, eight each RCBS #9 and #28; seven Lyman #6; and -- proof of what happens after 50+ years of loading with them scattered all over the place. (Should've done this years ago)
I'm pleased I finally got "to it" -- and DID finally (after looking everywhere) find the two RCBS #20 s.h.'s I was in need of -- which prompted this.
