Decapped 1500 .45 ACP cases today,,,400 in the tumbler as I type this.

I found a few cases that are stamped "Match" or "NM". Are these cases special?

Are there any head stamps that I should cull? I found close to 30 different head stamps in this batch of range brass. I will be loading these for plinking.
    Short,Fat,and Slow,,,Yup I love the .45

Cast about 100 of my new Russian slugs and started loading for some testing. They dropped at 532 gn for use with the tail wad. 545 with the deep pin that doesn't use the tail wad. 629 with the shallow pin that doesn't use the tail wad. The 532 gn with the tail wad rings in at 585 gn.

Match and NM (National Match) are some of the finest cases to be had, and no military primer crimp.

    Good STUFF
    Mike

p.s. the only ones to cull are those with small pistol primers

Nice, how deep are you seating them and what guns are you shooting them out of?

Resized about 1250 40 S&W cases and started tumbling them. The first batch will be coming out in about 15 minutes. I'll dry them, sort by head stamp, select the ones that I plan to load and store the rest. Still have a bunch to do.

Spent the entire day removing a stuck .308 (Chrome Plated) from sizing die. Started with digging snow out to and around the entrance to the "Reloading Shack", then a search for the elusive RCBS Stuck Case Remover. After not finding it; memory surfaced the last time I saw the Stuck Case remover it was in the RCBS Pocket Swaging plastic box, so close up the Shed and back to the house. Located the RCBS Stuck Case Remover, researched and found the directions for use (it's only been about 20 or so years since I had the last Stuck Case). After a bit I got the case out; cleaned the die and finished loading the 20 Paper Patched .308 bullets (Swaged .301 boolits using Corbin Die) with 42.5 grains WC760. Day spent & I closed the reloading session out with 20 Rounds to be tested in next few days I hope.

Setup a used (but new to me) shotshell reloader. Have a number of MEC loaders that I have been using since the 80's, so was elated to get my hands on this puppy. So far it has turned out some very nice reloads from a variety of shell brands. From new Federal paper hulls to Fioccohi plastic it does a great job.

AND I WANT TO THANK YOU "RICHHODG66" FOR ALL YOUR HELP IN MAKING THIS PROJECT A SUCCESS. COULD NOT HAVE BEEN DONE WITHOUT YOU TIME, TROUBLE AND HELP. AGAIN, MANY THANKS.

After months of healing & waiting for the perfect day to cast, I did it today. 3 degrees this morning. Warmed up to the thirties so I fired up the Lee pot and the propane stove and rotated between the Lee C309150f, C309113f, and the 358 105 swc. Poured the whole pot and put in more egg cups when I unplugged it to go shoot some test .375 H&H loads. A good afternoon.
