Boxed up the HF ES gun & put back on shelf. Found a couple bags of fired cases behind it and all the other junk on the work/casting bench. I can actually see the table top now.
Whatever!

12 grains go unique. Shot great. I’ll see if I have some pics somewhere.

Set up a brand new Lee 4 hole turret press that I got for myself for Christmas & installed the lee bench plate system for it & my other presses. Then mounted all the other bench type presses to plates & wood blocks I made for the bench plate.
Next, it will be time to try them all out & make some more rounds to shoot.

nice! I love my 4-hole lee turret.
After having been away for 3 weeks in Manitoba for the holidays with my wife's family we're back and I finally just started a tumbler full of dirty brass rolling around about 15 minutes ago ...
I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't reached my "Expiry" date!
Melted a bunch of odd solder that I have saved up. Ended up with 24 1/2 pound ingots and 28 1 pound ingots of mixed solder. Hoping to melt wheel weights tomorrow, weather permitting.
Tried my hand in making some mini slug rounds. The finish length is 1-1/2". Factory round on right for comparison.

Cool, I am hoping to do the same, only at maybe 1 3/4" depending on the overall length of a 69cal RB in a special wad designed for same. I have the roll crimp tool already. Thanks for the inspirational image.
Common sense Gun Safety . . .
Is taught at the Range!
I've been wanting to make some myself any tips available? sorry bout going off topic.
I found a powder load that worked with 2-3/4" with little recoil. This load had no signs of over pressure, so I backed the load down 1gr., cut the wad center out and loaded. Still very little recoil but now they will not extract from a pump gun. Going to drop the load another 3grs. And try again. So the tip I will give start really low and work up. The full size load was 1/2gr below min to start.

Loaded 100 - 9mm and 100 - 357 rounds that I cast and powder coated recently - also cleaned, deprimed, and resized my brass from the range yesterday. Why is this significant to me? cuz I have not cast any lead since the early 70's (long break thanks to the military and other situations) and I just started powder coating for the first time last week (using Smoke4320's powders).
straighten things up and took an old 357 maximum case and necked it down to 30 caliber, don't ask me why.
