Sat in the garage, looking across at the desert, listening to the cactus wrens and enjoying the souther Arizona breeze as I de-primed 1,162 45 ACP casings. Of course I took a couple of breaks to have a cup of coffee and enjoy watching the quail run around as well.

It's a beautiful day here in AZ. I'm smelting, playing poker online, and having a brewski.

Sigh. Nothing. Still sick. I did go out there and stare a couple of times this week. Then back to the couch or the bed. Pneumonia sucks. I must have made the gun smithing/ reloading elves mad because everything is the same.......

Smelted some range pickups from my last range trip. Got about 5lbs of lead out of it to add to my stock.

ID:	189948Finally set up a new to me Piggyback II for 300 BO. Manually actuating the powder drop is the only option for now since I am missing a piece to replace the powder arm for the dispenser. I might just keep it this way since it is hard to see into the case to check for powder. Works pretty good for a beat up piggyback and it is way faster than doing 50 at a time on reloading blocks and a turret press!

Training the 'left' hand to manipulate and feed a handful of casts in rapid succession and develop a rhythm.
This is the first large batch of casts I've run on this 'upside down' sizing press...I just finished building the mount...before I've been putting the casts on the little push post one at a time.
Though I must look like a fumbly fingered monkey...it's coming along and it's super-fast now.

I fired up my ancient Lyman bottom pour pot yesterday and poured 50+ 200 grain Lyman .41 Long Colt hollow points. Yep, hollow points. Seems to be a factory Lyman done HP job too. Mold came with handles and the original box. Surprisingly, with Unique powder, my old Colt Thunderer will put 3 rounds touching each other at about 10 yards, all in the black. Its a hoot to shoot. I am very careful with it and baby the heck out of it. I'll load the bullets as soon as the alox dries. This loading will last me a long time.

This weekend is slated for melting large qualities of scrap yard lead into ingots and pulling the handle of my Master Caster a lot.

Cast a couple hundred 357 and 308 bullets. then broke in a new mold from NOE a 140 grain 6.5mm. Good scrub and a little spur lube and bullets fell right out. Couple more heat cycles and all should be good.
