God Bless, Whisler
Been a while since I last dusted off the Dillon so set it up for 45 and ran 50 of Miha’s 452-200 RFN deep HPs over 4.9gr of Bullseye. Hoping to get them out to range tomorrow for some light testing.
Also debating unpacking my Star Progressive and setting it up to punch out wadcutter 38s to replenish that supply in the family.
Casting shed count? Made big ingots into small ingots.
Been messing with one of the alloy calculators. And have been casting 12 lead to 1 Foundry type.
Seems what I thought was Lyno is foundry type. Figured that out here on Cast Boolits.

Exactly what I load with the 105swc. Super easy on an old Colt Official Police and pretty accurate. I also load 3-3.2 grains of Red Dot for the Elco 358-147grain hollow point for the 38Special.
Loaded two dummies with my cast 230/270g in 356 Winchester cases.
Next testing will be with them. Both seated and extracted with minor resistance @ .360. Seated in trimmed brass @ crimp grooves.

I finally felt good enough to cast some boolits, the Lee 358-125 rf, but prior to the lead melting I had to walk down to my MIL house to check on her, as she didn't answer her phone. She only lives a block away from me, but the brisk walk up and back was a lot for me. But I did manage
To cast about 50 or so boolits before I had to call it off... I now wish that I had bought the six cavity mold rather than the two cavity......

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?
Tom W., I can totally relate. After 12 stents and a triple bypass I don't have the strength and stamina I once had. My last session I was able to drop about 400 104gr .356" before I had to quit. Nice thing is now I have a new Lee Pro IV pot that heats up in 1/2 the time as my old hot plate so I can filler up, heater up, cast for an hour and shut it down w/o a lot of trouble.
Getting ready to render various lead.
Cut some lead sheet into strips, rolled up the strips to sit in the melt pot.
Sorted my range lead; separated the jacketed/plated from the cast. I've got maybe 40 pounds of each, caught in my traps here at the range behind the barn.

We are under contract for our first house. Started packing up all my reloading stuff today. Unbelievable how much I've accumulated and I still very much want more. I get the entire basement for my new reloading/man space. It is two rooms, one mostly finished but with painted cement floors. The other is for laundry, storage, and bicycle training. Gonna need to build a new bench, want 8ft but think I should go 12ft for future use. Not reloading, but have been in the reloading room today.
I broke another Lyman 450 sizer toggle Linkage.

Finished sorting, bagging, and labeling the last of a 5 gallon bucket of o/f range brass, rifle only. S&S ad to come later. Got to get caught up so I can start with a new mold!! Lee 6 cavity 312-155 gc. 308 Win. here we come! ( this should be interesting).
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!
Loaded 40 rounds of 35/284 and 40 rounds of 25-06.
I just finished loading up 20 45acp with some new cast 200gr SWC from a Lee mold. Loaded these in R-P cases with left over S&B LPP.. Powder to start is HP-38 @ 4.6gr with an OAL of 1.235".. The length was taken from Lyman Pistol and Revolver load data and the charge from Hodgdon website.
There was a conflict between the 2 data groups. Hodgdon had 1.225" for a LSWC and start of 4.4gr with a max of 5.6gr.. While the Lyman book was 1.235" with a start of 5.2gr and a max of 6.5gr...
loaded 100x357mag and 20x308 ,now I will have to cast some more 357 boolits as that's my stock gone again.
