Finished up 100 380 acp loads with 90 gr Speer Gold Dot bullets for my Browning 10/71. Was able to find a used, but in prestine condition a early RCBS 4 die carbide set with shell holder for under 38 bucks on ebay. I like to do my taper crimping with a die specifically designed to do that job, and that job only.

    Nothing wrong with Redneck!

When I'm smelting I usually do it with a buddy or two. And when we do they bring their ingot molds. One of them is a Lee and we skip the smaller ingots too. I do like the smaller size for pewter or solder.

I use the smaller ones for pewter.

Varmint time of year so I'm trimming .243 brass after checking them with a Herter's gauge. I'm going to use inherited Win760, Rem9-1/2M primers, and Rem 80 grain Powrlokt HP. This old stuff won't be inherited!

Just piddled mostly. I've been depriming, tumbling and sorting brass since Christmas. I had a few trays of sorted brass that I haven't stored away yet so I took them to the store room. I saved several empty cases with odd or interesting head stamps and I loaded dummy cartridges with them for my collection. I sized, prepped and loaded 100 223's for a shooting buddy. Like I said, just piddled! Fixing to grab a beer and head to the back porch to light the grill.

Started sizing and cleaning some 9mm opened up my ammo box I had some stored in to find out I must have not gotten all the water out aggg. Not much just enough to make a few casing no so pretty. So they went back into the tumbler while they were running I decided to wet clean some I had in a 5 gal bucket that been run just in walnut. Should finish up with this chore in a day or so and have two buckets full of sized shiny 9mm. Depends on how the weather is I may start in on the 40s

I hammered out 200 felt wads, made UglyCat lube, lubed said wads and burned the paint off of a can to carry them in. Cast 200+ 380 round balls.

Decapped, resized, trimmed 100 308 cases...
I started using the Lyman trim tool with a cordless drill... That thing makes it go FAST. I like it.

I washed all the PC'd bullets I'd sized in a as yet not polished enough. I sized them using Dawn dish soap as a lube. Of course ya gotta clean the sizing die, dry and oil it up too.

No Sunshine in SoCal to dry them. So they get to sit over night on the dryer.

Broke out the Lyman case express my wife got me for my birthday and cleaned up 100 308 cases and 100 45-70 cases. Then primed them.
Accidentally dropped one primer and *poof* it was gone. Probably will find it by stepping on it just right (POW). So much for taking 200 primers down for 200 cases...

Loaded up the same 200 rounds of 223 with 748 and finally split two case necks. These have been loaded at least 6 times. Pockets are still good to go.

Loaded up 100 380 acp's with 90 gr. Speer Gold Dots. Seated them to .974 over 3.1 grains of BE. Pop'd one in the mag and snapped the slide and it chambered just fine. So I taper crimped them all and then decided I would load up the magazine and upon loading round #2 I knew Houston had a problem. COAL was too long for the magazine. Didn't have a issue with one cartridge in the magazine because the nose isn't buried inside the mag housing, Ugly. So I ended up just having to nudge them down to a COAL of .965 and all is well. Let that be a lesson on auto loaders, make sure action will go to battery, but at the same time be sure the overall length will work inside the magazine. Sometimes it's easy to forget the simplest of things.

You can turn those into Tokarev cases.

Loaded 100 308 rounds and made this "Box of pain":
    Attachment 241903

EDIT: One thing I noticed today is that a pound of Varget goes really quickly when you are dumping 40 or 50 grains at a time.
