Received some new Lyman Small handles from member Shuz and want to publicly thank him. They completely solves my problem with the oversize bullets I was getting while trying to use the wrong handles. Again a learning experience!
So I got these on the Lyman single cavity 452374 225gr RN and was able to quickly cast 100+ and the diameter size is now down to where it is supposed to be! Now to tumble lube/size/lube and then wait for the range to open back up.
Slugged the bores on 4 of my rifles 2 308 win 1 30-40krag and a 303british
The Remington 788 308win slugged 309, the savage ladies hunter308win slugged 308. The 1895 30-40krag slugged 310 it’s 121years old. And the lee Enfield NO 5 MK1 Jungle Carbine slugged at 312. Also got to use my new micrometer witch seems to work well
Like a few of you, I'm in between projects and doing some cleaning and organizing. I'm thinking about some ammo shelves. I saw some pictures on Snipers Hide recently of some shelves made from concrete blocks and boards for holding ammo cans. Hum, got me to thinking!
Loaded 100 rounds of 380 Auto for practice ammo. Lee 105 g. swc and Unique.
God Bless, Whisler
I've got a Howa varmint rifle on the way, so I'm prepping 223 brass.
I acquired several hundred actual once-fired cases. The ritual is in progress; decap, tumble, full length size. Trim (ugh!), flash hole uniform, weight sort, etc.
I'm in the middle of trimming.... Very tedious.
Loaded about 500 rounds .223 plinking ammo for the AR.. cheap 55g and and surplus WC735 powder..
Loaded .45 ACP. Lots and lots of .45 ACP.

My avatar is almost a dead ringer for my little buddy Chico. Six pounds of mean that thought he was a Pit Bull. Miss that little guy.
Loaded 650 rounds of 38 special with 2.7 grains of Bullseye. 148 grain wadcutter from a H&G 6 banger. Powder coated in various colors.
Finally feel good enough to make it to the garage. Loaded 150 40s and resized about 800 40 cal boolits...
I feel like I need to cast more 400 grain 45s... But that sure makes lead/powder go fast...

Cast 400 Lee 309-150GC bullets and started crimping on gaschecks. Enough for a Sunday afternoon
Started prepping 223 brass for a Prairie Dog hunt in May. I'll stretch it out by working a little everyday.
Wet tumbled another 200 .357 cases today, they are sitting in the dehydrator drying right now. Will be pulling down 50 38-40 rounds that I got in a box of reloading stuff at a yard sale (I don't own a gun chambered for 38-40. Bullets are soft lead so I will add them to my soft lead stash.
taking advantage of "mandatory shelter in place ", 5 sessions of 22.5 lbs of 45acp each, will do 3 more sessions, busy weekend
