I fired up the Master Caster and made over a 1000 of 9MM 124 g slugs.
Now to powder coat or Hi-Tek them.

Just staying at home and playing with multi-color boolits.
Powder coated 210 Lee TL452-200 bullets with 2 coats of HF flat black using ASBB and then resized to 0.452" using cable pull lube for sizer lube. Experimented with placing the bullets on stainless steel window screen size wire mesh instead of flattened sheets of beer can aluminum. Did not notice any improvement in appearance or speed of putting the bullets on the wire mesh -- probably because the mesh is too small to allow the BBs to fall through.
Found out that if you let an ASBB get in your oven and under the wire mesh, it melts and makes a circular flat spot that is a bit difficult to get off the wire mesh.

Its a start.
I dallied around here until I talked myself into unpacking and then mounting a scope on a rifle just arrived from the Remington repair station. Just recalled I had an extended slide release for my SR1911 so I installed it...after slightly modifying my new fat grips. Sized a few 30-30, 38-55 so my handful of dirty 45 Colt brass would have some company in the case cleaner. Gathered a few guns & ammo for a range trip tomorrow.
I've been "waiting" for my new laptop battery to charge since early this morning, once it "finishes" charging I'll get it set up and maybe get some work done.

Some of my favorite recipes start out with a handful of depleted counterbalance devices.
Installed knobs on three Dillon powder measure. Installed the new style fail safes on two of them. Cleaned and lubed all three. Installed a primer track bearing plate. It was really jerky before and this seems to have smoothed it out.
Drank beer... I think I cast about 10 lbs of lead also, between beers, but mostly just drank beer while convincing myself that the yard didn't need mowing THAT bad... <burp>
Loaded 250+ 40's and then changed the 550 for 223, just got my 224 mold, so I'll be packing the new boolits very soon, just waiting for the sizer to arrive so I can add the checks and load em... Guess I'd best cast them first though...
Cast up a couple hundred .40 cal 400 gr slugs. Need to try lubing and loading at as cast dia now. The last batch I sized to .,408 were terrible, going through the target sideways. Older orig barrel slugs at .412
First, I cleaned my shotgun from Saturday Skeet league but on the loading bench, yesterday was .38 caliber day. Loaded 250 .38 special, most with 358311 and the rest with the Lee 358-158-RF, but also, 50 .357 Mag. (with 358156).
Sized and trimmed some new-to-me once fired 303 British brass. Now I'm just trying to decide on a load for the 316299's I'm going to put on top.
Loaded 20 223 rounds for a promising test. Cfe 223 using my cast boolits from the NOE 225-55 mold. Initial test was less than an inch at 100yds from my AR. THAT powder throws very well too. But i trickle it to get the load.

Last few days I've been sorting paperwork, SUX!
Ran a bunch of 223 brass , loaded a few with Hor J 55gr. Took the last range target and looked it over made notes.
Got the sewing machine up and running.
It is old and weighs about 80 pounds I had dropped it while doing a balancing act after we moved and bent the stitch adj. knob. It's still bent , but works. Then made a new thread spool stand since the original was broken too.
Packed up a stock to ship.
cast 70 158gc +70 158 pb for my .357 & 36 160gc for my .308 lubed & sized etc .got a problem with my shoulder after an hours casting thats the reason for the odd numbers.still a good day
Today I rigged both my Dillon 650's with the primer catch tube that actually captures the dead primers and sends them to a closed container to avoid the constant mess of loose primers bouncing out and getting all over the room. That was the biggest pain in the backside about these presses. Once I got them ready to go I de-primed about a thousand .38 special cases. NO primers on the floor. Absolutely NONE!! I should have done this years ago! Now the .38 cases are in the tumbler with a few lbs of steel pins and some scrubbing bubbles. A quick rinse and they will look like new once again.
Took out the .308's from the polisher, added the 7 mm Rem. Magnums, got them to going, sorted all the nickel plated brass from a recent brass purchase, bagged up some .308' s for sale, just cleaned up the mess from sorting and polishing over 6,000 rounds of rifle brass!!! Long day. Now enjoying a cold Bud Lite Lime! With salt, no less! Hahaha! Have a good Labor Day weekend.( probably something else in there needs doing, you guys know how it is)
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!
I've been sorting 223 brass all week, still not done.
BUT Today I got to my favorite hardware store and scored
100 virgin primed Winchester 10mm auto cases and a sealed
box of Hornady 30cal gas checks.
Checking my inventory I have determined I have 1700 hornady 170gr bullets for 10mm
so I'm not rushing to get the TC mold I want for .401 just yet...
Tomorrow, I will be trying to turn 20# of pure lead into Lyman's giant
air rifle pellets for my 12ga (Lyman 12ga sabot slugs)
and sometime tomorrow I will wander up to the range (probably more than once)
in the eternal quest for MORE brass.
I live on a road called "Gun Club Road", the name is ENTIRELY
appropriate, and the walk to the benches of the rifle range are about
half the trip to the 100yard target stands...

Had to re-seat some 223s I loaded last week, looks like my setting die moved just after checking the size was right, it's never before, but looks like I'll have to verify more often with this die, only a few thousandth over, but enough to not seat...
