I melted down #65 of bullets (all cast with lube and gas checks) and made ingots.
I gotta say, I would rather melt down wheel weights than lubed and gas checked bullets!! YUCK!

I would have saved those for fluxing
No sir! These had some kind of grease that would not burn off, it stuck to the cast iron pot, my stirring spoon and no amount of fluxing would clarify it out. I had to use a TS4000 straight onto the puddle and carbonize it to remove it from the pot. I am guessing it is some kind of synthetic grease? Nothing like a beeswax and olive oil, Vaseline or paraffin.
Awful stuff!
Gas checked 250 ish MIHEC 220g 360 ho’s last night. I’ll PC them Ford blue this weekend.

Happiness is a warm .45
Nothing yet, still unpacking from a recent trip. But after while when it warms up I'll sort a coffee can of wheel weights that a buddy dropped off for me while we were away. Networking!!! It works!!!
Messin with the APP press I got yesterday .
Just been mocking up an old desk to make into a table for my bullet casting. Still working on ideas.
Well I installed this with a coworker/friend of mine he is a Tinbasher specializing in ducting he made it we installed
Can’t wait to duct it in and give it a whirl although I will have to wait because I told my self I was not allowed to cast another boolit until I finished smelting my last 55gallon barrel of wheel weights it’s only 2/3 full now
Started sorting and processing some .223 brass for a new AR guy. Some sized already, some swaged already, some sized and swaged already. Boy, I need to start labeling as to the steps in processing!! Normally any brass that is processed has a tag as to the place in processing it's at. But, this particular batch was just started and then stopped for no reason!!!!!!!!! so here we go !!!!
Just a few thousand so no big deal!! Hahahaha!!!!!!
Gotta go,
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!
Got home from work yesterday, and loaded some test loads with some 140 Nosler's J Bullets in .308.
Hope to Chrono them on Sunday

Actually yesterday I went thru 50# plus of shot. One ounce of 7.5 in the 12ga and 7/8 ounce 8.5 in the 20ga. Takes me about 20 minutes to crank out and box up 4 boxes. Then a couple more to reload 100 primers in the tray and top off the powder and shot bottles. It's great therapy, nice and quiet. Nobody is allowed in the room when I'm reloading, not even the dog.
Changed the oil in Mrs Bookworms' daily driver. Worked in my Class 8 International, changed coolant filter, air system filter, flushed the power steering system and changed the filter on it.
Greased the truck.
Got nowhere near the reloading room.
And, I'm coming down with something. Maybe the flu. Or, Corona virus. Or Ebola. Or Mad Cow Disease.
I used it today while I was casting some sinkers for an upcoming trip. I can't speak for the accuracy over 212 degrees, but it was right on in the boiling water test. Temp showed 640 degrees at the edge of my Lee pot when the edges started to melt. I saw the temp change as I raised and lowered the temp in the pot. I added ingots when the level dropped and the thermometer dropped accordingly.
So far it was worth the price. Around $28.00 on Amazon. Much better than guessing. Been running too hot. I would defiantly buy another.
Cast about 20 #s of 430 - 240s...
Gonna shoot some 44 MAG in a couple weeks!

While loading some Test Loads for Today's Range Day.
Yesterday I dropped my Hard Plastic Powder Funnel on a Tiled Floor, Broke the Tab off.
Made up a Small batch of JB Weld and Glued it back on.
It does not get any Static cling when using, as my Backup Green RCBS Soft Plastic one does.
Just checked, Good as New.
