Last weekend finally ran the ladder test loads thru my brothers M1 Garand, so it was time to pick the hunting load and charge. Today I loaded 30 hunt loads for him to use in our upcoming firearm season. Ended up with 47.0 grains of IMR 4895 under a Hornady 150 grain FB soft point, running at 2650 fps. Pretty sure I could have gone to 48.0 grains, rather play it safe. At tree stand ranges, it'll work just fine in the old girl. Thanks for your help, Tom

Sized, tumbled, and annealed 100 30-30 cases. Sized 150 223 cases and in the tumbler now. Been at work for 12 days straight and finally have a couple off.

Been pretty bummed about the election, so decided I needed to do something in the evenings to stay off the internet and clear my head.

Friday evening I cast about 500 358156s from a 6cav Lee mold I bought from a gentleman here. Had keepers after the 3rd fill! It’s always a pleasure casting with it.

Saturday evening I powder coated the boolits from Friday evening. While they cooked I loaded about 250rds of 38spls on the Pro1000. Mixed brass, win primers, 3gr bullseye under Lee 358158 RF. Press ran great.

This evening before supper I sized all the 358156 from Friday evening to .358. Then loaded one box (50rds) 38spls on the Pro1000 with 358429s.

I feel tons better and had a pretty productive weekend outside, not counting the reloading related stuff!

I have been doing some long overdue cleaning up of my work area. I also made about 45 lbs. of ingots using some commercial hardcast boolits given me by a friend. They were all sized to .356 for 38 super and 9mm.

Just came in from the shop after annealing 100 22-250 and 155 308 cases for some testing of different powders with cast bullets. About half way through the process my wife came in to the shop and asked, "Annie kneels ez, when did you get her?" I about died laughing. I said it's called Annealeez and I've had "her" for over a year. Gotta love 'em.

Cast 324 Lyman #311291’s. Cooler Florida weather starts my “casting season”. My goal this season is 7,000 rifle bullets.

Loaded up 50 350 legend cartridges for the competition this weekend.
These are the little light boolits (125 grain) that go really fast (2500 fps)...

Sized 200 30-30 that I shot at the range yesterday, annealed them, primed, then expanded the case necks. These are all low power Red Dot loads running around 1200fps. They are a hoot, barrel doesn't get hot, just warm. Cleared the flash holes of corncob on 400 223 and annealed those yesterday as well.

PC'd about 130 45 cal boolits. Will do the rest tomorrow - unless I get my shot cards. If I get the cards, I'm gonna load about 100 slugs.

Other thing I did (am doing) is heat cycling a new Accurate mold... I've got a 10mm 1911 coming and I got a new 40 cal 180 grain GC mold that has just about the right nose profile for it... It's aluminum with 5 cavities... Should make a mound of boolits in a short amount of time.

Annealed a handful of 8x57 cases, then loaded them up with some 220 grain bullets and 4198. Gotta wait until next weekend to see how they shoot.
