Ran some pc'd .45 ACP bullets through the Lee push through sizer die and ran a few of them through the Dillon to check seating depth. Now I need to size and load a bunch more ...
I may have passed my "Best Before" date, but I haven't reached my "Expiry" date!

I did a thorough sweeping of the floor. As usual, I used a magnet over the sweepings. Now I need to find where the spring and 2 set screws came from.
At least I saved them from the trash.
    Information not shared. is wasted.

    I did some casting today.
    at least 700 (maybe 900?) from a NOE 358-128-SWC.
I had some "leftover" ingots from 4 different batches of alloy (total weight about 20lbs) that for the most part were either softer than COWW and some that were a bit harden than COWW. So I melted everything all together, so it was all the same, and then proceeded to cast up all that alloy.

Melted about 5 lbs worth of .41 Magnum and .500-450 Martini Henry. My melting pot is about kaput otherwise, it would have been more.

loaded up about 400 7.62x54R Berdan primed steel/copper-washed cases for rifle matches this summer. 200 were with their original 147gr FMJ-BT bullets and 44gr of the Russian stick powder which is close to a 10% download from the original loaded weight which averaged from 46-49gr of powder per case when I pulled it down a few years back. All of the original ammo (2 tins of 440rnds each) came from the same ammo lot so no difference in the powders but Ivan must have had a hangover when he was charging them with powder in 1986 as the powder weights were all over the place....

The other 200 were all reloaded with LEE's 160gr Spirepoint boolit with a gas-check and two coats of poly-coat paint and 40gr of the original stick powder. (THe original cartridge data has the 147gr ammo spec'ed for 2750fps out of a MN 91/30). I'm going to see how they perform at 100 yards out of my M44 carbine this spring and if they are good enough, I'll try them at 200 and 300 yards as well.

Looking in my books for info on 45 357 or 44 shot shells. I have a flying squirrel issue. They are small and fast. CCI 22 loads just dont do it. So I am digging in some books.

Deep cleaned, Naval Jelleyied and steel wooled 4 Hensley & Gibbs 8-10 cavity moulds that were rusted. They came out OK but still need some more cavity work.

If you can get close, #12 shot sure makes a better swarm of lead.
