I finally finished loading some special bullets I got from beagle... they're based on the Lyman 313631 mould with the gas check groove removed. Some of them are also hollow pointed and have a special aluminum GC made to fit plain base bullets. The cartridges are 32 S&W Long destined for my recreated Model 16-3 and my little I-frame 32 HE snub. Now to get out and shoot them!

Cast around 600 more Elco boolits, 500 227-75 Nato boolits, and 150 31-157 boolits. Sized some new Winchester 30-30 brass with some new to me dies and primed them while I wait for a new expander plug from NOE. Lubed the 31-157 with Carnuba Blue. Posted some stuff for sale in the swap section. Then mowed the lawn. Not a bad day off.

I loaded some .480 for my 4-5/8" SBH Bisley, and some Keith loads for my 7.5" SBH and my 4" Model 29 Classic. Tomorrow, I aim to cast some more.

Yesterday I did some more cleaning in the gun room. I just posted a bunch of stuff for sale in the S&S section. Rings, bases, parts and stuff that I found on shelves and in drawers. By the time this virus stuff winds I may be squared away!

Today may be gun cleaning day! Maybe?

Made some cartridges the other day. Need to do some cleaning.
I'm trying a 155 gr poly coated boolit over 30gr of H4895. If I ever get well (yah I caught KungFlu) I'm going to go shoot over the chrony and punch some paper.

well, after 3.5 weeks, I'm finally done with my casting, sizing and lubing my 9mm and 45acp. ended up with a little over 9K of 9mm, almost 5K of 45acp, should last about a year, now just to catch up on the reloading itself

I cleaned the pot and spout on my Pro Melt 2. Slag had built up on the sides and it was dripping. I had switched to the new style valve rod and checked it for fit. It seals at the top of the spout. I got out the original rod and it seals at the bottom of the spout only not in line with the linkage. The rod is concentric so the spout is tilted in relation to the pot/linkage. The rod doesn't bind if I lean it back a bit. I moved the fixed end of the valve arm to the backside of the post and it seems to work. I'll try it tomorrow. The problem RCBS was trying to fix with the new valve rod may have been misaligned valves.

I got my newly pinned MP 6 cavity #503 assembled and attached to handles ready to go and the hot plate set up.

I found out that none of the WW’s the tire store gave me are usable for boolits; easy come, easy go. So I smelted some pb mini muffins and added some pewter to the mix. I’m going to split the pot between Lee 358105swc, C309150F, and 379250F till I run out. Good casting weather, windy and cold and wet.

Received my new NOE expander plugs and was all set to load some 30-30 ladder loads. Quickly found out that I need a crimp die to seat and crimp in separate steps in order to not swage the lead boolit. Ordered the die and no must wait til Thursday, maybe, to start the process again.

Checked out loading PC'd bullets for the .32ACP for the 1st time. Haven't loaded .32ACP in 20+yrs. Adjusted the seat/roll crimp die to handle #311252 - sized .311, 1st bullets from my own casting efforts.
Before I had loaded J's or bought cast from a commercial caster.
Looking forward to trying them in a Walther PP & Savage 1907.

Honestly, these past few weeks of staying at home, what HAVEN'T I done???

    I barely have any empty cases/hulls. Loaded .30-06, 30-30, .38 spl, .357 mag, .44 spl. .44 mag, .45acp, 12,16, 20, & 28 gauges.

Since I used a lot of cast boolits, I lube sized and replenished my supplies of ready to load boolits.

Then, I cast to replenish my supplies of on deck boolits.
    Cast 45 H&G 68s, 44 200 RFs, 44 Keiths, 38 148 WCs, Lyman 358156PBs, 9mm 124TLSWCs, and 30 LEE155s. Only thing left is to cast up some 22 64 NATOs.

I did a smelt in August which should have given me enough boolit alloy for about 3 yrs. Went through most of that, maybe I'll do a smelt next?

Refinished a set of Ahrends grips (did a thread about that,) fixed a cracked recoil pad on a 20 ga A5, and am currently fixing a stripped screw handle on the 44RF mold (there's a thread about that.)

Cleaned up and reorganized up the whazoo!!

And a whole bunch more I probably forgot.

As much as I used to gripe, I miss going to work!

Windy Cold and Wet here too. I got the heater going before breakfast, the shop should be toasty now. Perfect casting weather!

Went for a walk this morning after doing chores. Will start the polisher with some GI 30-06 LC 54. Got almost two coffee cans so will take several batches.

Yesterday finished up making about 50pcs of 300Sav brass from civilian 308Win brass. That went well, so loaded them up with some Berry's plated 150gr 30-30 slugs for the grand kid to burn up. The 177gr and 190gr are a little heavy for him yet. He's a lightweight.

Need to cast more 38cal and 45acp slugs. Have lubed up all available in house. The 38cal are all loaded. Have buckets of 38 brass to load so need to cast for that caliber. Getting primers will become an issue soon. Have used up several bricks. The CCI 400 are very hard to find. Seems lots of reloaders are busy.

Son and I plan on a forest walk later today, looking to fill our mountain lion tags. 190gr cast 30-06 should work.
Lee C312-185-1R sized to 310, lubed and GC =190gr for me using Carnuba Red.

I fired up the newly cleaned Pro Melt 2 and started with a little over a half pot of lead and cast that. No significant drips so I filled it full. It dripped all the way down. LOL So I cleaned it again and will try lapping this afternoon. I got 6-700 #503 Boolits despite the drips. Still pouring rain.

This was the first casting session in the new shop but I've been reloading here a while now.

Possibly some military pull down powder could fit your needs .
