Sized and cleaned the rounds I shot yesterday, about 25 30-06 A.I. cases and maybe 60 or so 30/30 A.I. cases. Well, All I did to the 30/30 A.I. cases was punch out the primers and clean them, as I still haven't gotten any dies yet...

You can load 30-30 Imp for YOUR rifle with .300 Savage dies if you have to. Kind of a neck sizing deal.

Not today, but last week before I headed to the slope for my two weeks at work, I got in 2-3 hours casting and turned out some 450 grain, .511 SWC, some 420 grain .477 WLN and some 240 grain .403 WLN, all from LBT four cavity molds. After sizing and lubing the next day I loaded 100 rounds of 500 Linebaugh with the 450 grain SWC and 9 grains of Trailboss. I also sized and lubed a couple hundred of the 240 WLN for a friend to try in his Buckeye 38-40. I shoot them in a 401 Powermag. Great bullet in the 401 and ought to work well in his 38-40.

I loaded up 20 more 30/30 rounds with the fire forming load of Bullseye, then loaded 15 with 1.0cc GreenDot and the 160 cast bullet.

Sized and lubed some Lee 379-250fp to .375" to chamber easier in my 38-55. Also using a medium load of IMR 3031 in hope of flattening the trajectory a bit. My Unique load drops more at 100 yards than my 44-40......

Washed and deprimmed a tub of range brass that I picked up. I love deer season, I find calibers other than 9mm, 40 S&W and 223! I don't need it, just can't help it! My Wife and I enjoy riding around to the local shooting spots looking for brass. We enjoy the time together and see a lot of wildlife. Saw a Red Fox the other day. Usually see deer or Coyotes. Also the Ducks and Geese have arrived and I know several places where Eagles have nested.

Loaded 200 rounds of 380ACP with 105 swc and 2 grains of Red Dot. LCP eats this thing up especially with the fiancé carrying it every day now. She actually shoots the tiny pistol pretty well.

My shop was well overdue for a big cleanup, so I started yesterday. Sorted and boxed tumbled brass in several different calibres and cleaned up a bunch of junk to toss out in the garbage. (Surplus cardboard ammo boxes, plastic bags, etc.) Still need to clear the reloading bench itself and put away several sets of dies and other reloading accessories. Several more days work ahead of me to get things looking a bit better down there ...

If I were to "clean it up" I'd probably never find anything again. It wasn't too long ago that I found a bunch of once fired 30/30 brass that I didn't know I had. And I've been at this address for over six years!

Made up a batch of Ben's Red. Overheated the Lucas Red 'N Tacky and got Ben's Brown instead. Oh well. Pan lubed some Russian Paradox slugs to do some testing against Hi-Tek Coated versions. Loaded up the test rounds. Hopefully I can get out to test this weekend. Cleaned up a bit. Just hung out in the reloading room. It's my happy place.

Sized and deprimed more 20 ga AA hulls. Then started trimming 9x19 to 9x18, first belling the case mouths with my Lee multi caliber expander die, then trimming with Lee case trimmer and electric drill, then chamfering inside and outside case mouth with my RCBS tool. This is as tedious as I thought it would be. Case dimensions and wall thicknesses all over the place. (Multiple head stamps.)

Finished some 38-55, started on 44-40, 10mm for my brother after that. Need to resume "Cast Quest" for the .300 BO as well.

Picked up one wheel weight and half a cup of spattered lead on the range today. Its addicting even when down range in Afghanistan. Think I'll have my wife mail me my small RCBS casting pot.

Still in the midst of a major clean up down in my reloading / gun room. Got so bad in there that you could barely move little lone work so it was time to finally do something about it. I've been sorting and packaging cleaned and annealed brass, misc bullets and boolits, and since I have far more dies than jacketed bullets these days I'm going to reorganize my dies to the space where I had the bullets stacked on the back wall of my bench and relocate the bullets to the smaller space where I had the dies stacked. A friend of mine owns a local "cracker barrel" style LGS where many of us go to BS and visit on weekends and he has a table full of odds and ends for sale by donation with the funds going into the shop's coffee fund. (He always has free coffee on the go at his shop for the customers.) I'm going to sort out and donate a bunch of my odds and ends, mostly left overs from my tables at local gun shows I've attended and I will put them onto his donation table. Only about half way done cleaning up my shop so far, but I can almost walk around in there now without knocking something over or off the benches and table!
