    Can you PC over chrome?

I don't have chrome boolits. Does anyone know if you can PC something that's chrome plated and if it sticks well? It's a guitar part I have in mind, would like to make it black or maybe just get wild with the color.

Some of the stuff I read said it stuck better if you hit it with some 1000 grit first, just for a little bit of texture.

When I get curious, I better find out the answer fast or I forget what I was wanting to know.

You'd better get checked for lead poisoning.

It's el34's experiment. And my lead level is 2, and I don't drink! It must really be senility!

If a good enamel paint won't stick, PC won't either. A lot of the hardware is not good chrome plating, or is a different material. Base metal is usually steel for the tremlo/bridge parts, brass elsewhere. Quality of plating on even cheap guitars has seems to improve. I'd just remove the plating, unless you are just tinkering.
    Whatever!

Just for grins and what its I pcd some boolits that were already aloxed and some jwords- looked splotchy on the jwords and no.different than unlubed on the .45 boolits don't see why it wouldn't do chrome.
