    3 deer on opening day

Went out on opening day last weekend with my brothers and we all put one down within a 1/2 hour of each other.

My doe (middle) fell to a .476 400grain cast from a Lee mold and thrown from a 480Ruger Super Redhawk.

What part of the state were you in?

Congrats to you and your brothers. That is a nice buck with an awesome tall basket rack. The nasty weather lately must have worked in your favor.

Nice! I'm just a few counties north of you, Muskegon to be exact and I don't ever see bucks like that! Good job!

    Ammohead,
Very observant of you, sir. The tall narrow racks are fairly typical of the bucks here in Southwest Michigan. It's actually less common to see a typical rack around here.
And yes, it was nice to have that snow cover for opening day. The cold snap made for a lot of rut behavior on opening day.
