Good going!
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!
Nice work. Good to see a flintlock instead of an inline.

Jack Garner .50 cal. "Early Virginia rifle" 70gr fffg, round ball, shot her at about 50 yards.
On my bucket list to do, take a few deer with a flintlock! I have taken them with sidelocks, inlines, bp revolvers and single shot pistol.
Nice hunting! I am going out Thanksgiving morning with a new .45 Lehigh Valley built by Mr. Mark Campbell. Hope to have the same results as Paul S.
