FWIW, just checked Lowe's in Royal Palm Beach, Fl. They have about a dozen or so cans, marked down to $3.74 but rang upat $2.80.
Keep checking, i guess. These are on the floor and pretty dusty.

lol. Well, I'm already sitting on four cans and a fifth that is almost completely full. Since BLL is not my primary lube (I know...BLASPHEMY!, eh?) that should last me plenty long. Hopefully what I left gets picked up by another caster- if there even is one around here, or some poor cleaning service guy just trying to make a few bucks.
Lucked out today..Found 6 bottles at a lowes while on a long motorcycle ride...Good thing I had my backpack on...Woooohoooo 1.44 per bottle...I am set!!!!
Now for a new mold
Whadda deal!

Well, tried BLL yesterday out of my Colt Single Action 4 3/4 .44 Special. Used 7grains of Universal with 255 grain Keith hollowbase. One cylinder full left lead streaks down the barrel. Stopped at that point. Hmm. The barrel on this gun has .428 grooves with .433 cylinder throats so this may have been a factor but that is the reason why I used the hollowbase sized .432. The alloy goes 8.5 - 9.0 on my Cabine Tree and LBT hardness testers. For the record, this is NOT a criticism of the lube as it seems like everyone else is having great results. Have several more .44's to try it in. Carry on.
When I use BLL in a 357 and 44 mag I also get a grey streaking residue in the barrel, but I think it is antimony wash because it doesn't seem to build up and accuracy stays as good as I can hold. Perhaps you should try to shoot more than a cylinder full.
Thanks oldcandice, yeah, I'm not giving up but remember another poster said he was using an Uberti .44 Special and had the same problems but like I said there is a fairly large discrepancy between my cylinder and throat size which probably isn't helping. Not giving up just regrouping.
I first heard about BLL a couple of days ago, then went looking for Johnson One Step. I was going to post here that it seems to be discontinued, then found this thread and went all the way to the end. Darn if I didn't just find two cans for $1.96 each at the local Lowes. Ain't the Internet a peach?

tds: What do you use for cleaning?
you guys are killing me! Checked the stores around me again, plenty of paste wax but none of the liquid gold.
Might be my fault. On the way back for visiting my brother in Cleveland Tx, got everyone I could find going up Hwy59 (259) back to Arkansas..

Go to the autoparts store or Benneys and get some Mother's California Gold Liquid Carnauba
wax, works as good as Johnson's liquid wax, and you can find it when you need it.
webfoot10, I don't think you want to use the Mother's California Gold Liquid Carnauba wax in place of the One Step. Since auto wax's are meant to polish, they usually have some fine abrasive in them and the Mothers has up to 10% kaolin Clay, which means you will be fire polishing your barrel every round. Might think twice about that. The MSDS explains it.
