    Scored at the range today

Lots of shooters and no reloaders or casters. Came home with 75# of lead range scrap and 500 pieces of brass in addition to those I shot. Think I can get at least one more smelting session in before it gets cold and snowy. Last one yielded 200# of ingots.

How do you guys get the lead out of the berm? Piece by piece, run it through a screen or what?

I just pick up what I see and others use a screen. Of course a screen will get more lead most of the time.

Replace brass with golf ball and you describe my golf game.

I pickup all unclaimed brass, even ones that I don't reload and use them as trading stock. Just traded about 50 pcs of 270 win and 20 pcs of 50AE for a 5lb spool of 95/5 lead free solder.

Congratulations on your lead haul. Our berms are dirt, so we shoot a little pick up a bunch & repeat.

I love folks that leave me brass. Found 10 lbs of assorted mostly once fired brass yesterday.

Now I know why my lead collection rate is down this year. Stay outta my berms!
You will learn far more at the casting, loading, and shooting bench than you ever will at a computer bench.
